Day 3 Bargaining
Friday January 19, 2018 Today we continued our discussions on Contract Language Issues. We will continue our discussions Monday. Have a Good Weekend Remember UNITED WE STAND !!!
Maybe if more people stepped up. They wouldn't need lead men. And what do they rat on. I haven't heard of anybody get in trouble bc a lead man ratted on anyone
No straight shifts! Whoever thought of 13week rotations (mentioned in yesterday's) bad idea.more consistent and predictable shifts maybe, but not straight. 3-4 week rotations maybe?
What about the skilled tradesmen and machinists that at one time had to go to vocational school and pay to learn their trade?? And when the skilled ones leave or retire, GOOD LUCK finding replacements who will accept your hours, wages, and the crappy medical insurance ‘n
What about the skilled tradesmen who HAD to pay for their schooling ?? Most machinist and millwrights?? When we leave or retire, GOOD LUCK finding people with those skills who will put up with the hours, the unfair pay, and the crappy insurance!!
This bickering is ridiculous, we make good money, yes the hours are long but obviously we have accepted that because we’re all still here. fighting amongst ourselves for a dollar raise is not the answer! Look at the big picture people, open your eyes, we should be standing together and fighting for better medical with lower deductibles, better pensions and more personal days! It’s the big picture that will matter down the road so get your priorities straight!!!
Please fight hard for us and help us with the lead person all they are are rats and wanna be Managers but have union protection
ReplyDeletePut some cheese out and you see them run for it

DeleteLol..coming from one of the hard workers I suppose.
ReplyDeleteWe want straight shifts and more personal days.

ReplyDeleteDo you eat cheese doodles?
DeleteMmmm.
Will you guys run now to management and tell them you are being picked on.
DeleteJust like some of the proposals
No we don't want straight shifts that's what you want

ReplyDeleteLol
ReplyDeleteNo straight shifts good the way we have them
ReplyDeleteWe need to look into buy outs for the employees who don’t take the insurance.
ReplyDeleteHigher shift differential..
ReplyDeleteI have two thoughts for Tony and the team at negotiations
ReplyDelete1. Can we rotate the lead persons
2. What about the millwright why should they be paid less then some lead people
Sick time!
ReplyDeleteI think the leads are doing a great job. Numbers don't lie!!
ReplyDeleteLead men and numbers?? Give me a break!! Maybe it’s because after 45 years they finally are getting to understand the importance of the OIL!! FACT!!

ReplyDeleteWell maybe you should find a job with better hrs, pay, and insurance oh no you can't that's why your still here! FACT
DeleteD&I boot allowance increase is over due. It is not unusual to go through 6 pair or more per year. Making the current allowance rather redundant.
ReplyDeleteOffer older employees medical and buyouts.
ReplyDeleteHow about a lost or broken tool allowance.
ReplyDeleteNumbers are only up because the CPO's know how to control the Soluble oil. We work hard so D/I techs can sleep on the rag buckets.
ReplyDeleteThrow more money at the electricians. It worked so well last time.
ReplyDeleteThere's electrician openings...if the job is so "easy" then sign up!
DeleteHow about a yearly tool allowance for techs?
ReplyDeleteGive the leads another raise. Money well spent in my opinion. They are doing a excellent job.
