  1. How long does it take to fix a water fountain? Two weeks is way too long. OSHA stated that bathroom water is potable water and that we should drink the water out of the sinks. I'll go on furlough to pay for a new water fountain. hahaha. FIX IT!!

  2. I can not believe the nonsense we have to deal with and we still have our pay depended on performance. What are we to do when the phones crash or freeze. Oh wait our supervisors are more concerned about the transferring of our call then fixing the issues. KK you are correct they don't care as long as we all are at base pay. Maybe we need to take this to higher ups then decuyke

  3. Well when you get that water fountain fixed see if you can get us some heat in the William St building. We're tired of having to wrap up in blankets and trying to type in gloves with the fingers cut out.

  5. A steward told me that Gil sent an email to cecilia asking for a meeting regarding all our issues here in Work at Home. Has anyone heard if Gil has a meeting date set with cecilia.

We all should send all our issues to Gil and also post them here.

I know due to my schedule it is hard to get to the monthly meetings but enough is enough. Give Gil the facts and ammuniation to speak up for us. Shelley and Gil will bring forward the facts and our concerns. I know this first hand they do it reapeatidly..

  6. Yes you are correct they are always addressing our issues but again with out the reps supporting the issues, behind them and supervisors telling reps you are the only one saying or having a problem, we need to ALL SHOW UP ON WILLIAMS STREET AND DEMAND A SEAT GET PAID SCHEDULE E PAY TILL THEY GET THEIR CRAP TOGETHER. IS THAT NOT WHAT THEY EXPECT FROM US WHEN WE ARE NOT GOING OUR JOBS MAKING OUR NUMBERS, SO WHAT DAY AND TIME DO WE SHOW UP?? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY, I AM IN !!! WE NEED TO PUT OUR FOOT AND HEAD SETS DOWN!!!!

  8. As a WAH rep I am tired. Sick and tired of the crap. Tired of being told how much our sales suck. Tired of being measured against other offices when we all know calls are routed. Tired of more work on us and other area's getting the credit. Tired of fixing orders from other area's and from telemarketers and I don't get the sales credit for it they do. I voted no. I will accept that this contract passed because thats how the vote went. But what I can't accept is people thinking we have to sit down and take this crap that is dealt to us on a daily basis. Enough is enough. We need to start seeing more people attending union meetings. If you can't come to every meeting thats ok...come to every other one. If you need to come a little late thats fine...come when you can. But please go to the meetings...speak up and show that we are still united.

    Hello everybody.

I just want to inject a couple of comments. I am happy that the membership has taken advantage of the avenue of communications that the blog gives us. Sharing our ideas and frustrations can only move us toward solving them and putting them into action.

I agree with the poster above that the only way to really make improvements is to talk about them in a logical way with your coworkers and union and find a way to reslove them.

That means - come to the union meeting or it will never get done.

We will never solve every single issue in every single mind - but we can always come up with the strongest and most common ones and probably do a pretty good job at fixing them to our benefit. We need work to get ourselves together, get on the same pages or at the very least in the same chapter on some things.

Bottom line, if we plan and work together - and try not to argue or yell at each other or even the union - we can do some good things. We won't all agree either and there will be some hard discussions - but we are all brothers and sisters and we should show each other respect while we talk.

I have been in a long negotiation with Anheuser- Busch for the people in the can plant since November and probably will still be bargaining for a few more months.

I will be coming to your locations and meetings as soon as I can coordinate your scheduled meeting dates and times and mine.

Hope to see you all very soon and look forward to the opportunity to give you my input in those discussions.

  10. Sam i agree with all your statments however, we get no where with local management and need to step things up to the Senior Leadership, as we always spin our wheels, and I really feel the union is getting the same lip service we are getting, so I dont know what the resolve could be, we need to put our foot down and get resolve to the WAH issues NOW...I look forward to seeing you ASAP..
