Ball Can Plant Ratification Meeting

Thursday February 15, 2018

IBEW 363 held the ratification informational meeting for the Ball Can Plant Members.  We would like to Thank everyone who attended.  There was great dialogue and many excellent questions  were asked.

The Ballots have been mailed to everyone's house.  Please make sure you vote and send the ballot back.

The contract vote shall be by secret mail ballot. A Ballot has been  mailed to all the members on Friday February 16, 2018.  Ballots must be returned inside the secret ballot envelope in the self-addressed envelope in time to be received at the designated Post Office box by 11:00am on March 27, 2018.

WEDNESDAY JANUARY 31 2018

TO ALL,

TODAY WE ARE  STILL AT THE TABLE.  THE CONTRACT EXPIRES TODAY AT MIDNIGHT.  WE WILL INFORM EVERYONE IF WE HAVE EITHER REACHED AN AGREEMENT OR HAVE A CONTRACT EXTENSION.

SO FAR TODAY WE ARE STILL PASSING PROPOSALS ACROSS AND NOT QUITE  THERE YET. 

MEDICAL  IS THE BIG ISSUE ON THE TABLE

Both sides countered each other's First economic proposals.

Received information that we requested dealing with healthcare benefits. 

The Company and Union both giving reasons why some of their proposals are needed and the benefit of them.

We continued with the Economic  Submitals given on Thursday. Still gathering information in order to give our First counter.

Today the Union and Company exchanged Economic proposals.  

This afternoon we had a presentation of the Benefit Package from Corporate.

Today we have concluded contract language discussions for the time being.  On Thursday both parties will exchange their economic proposals. 

We will also have a presentation from corporate on the Medical Benefits.

Day 5 IBEW/ Ball Bargain

Tuesday January 23

Today the Company and Union focused on the following Contract Language Proposals:

1. Personal Choice Day
2. Doctors Notes
3. Vacation Selection
4. Lead Persons

We will continue tomorrow morning with contract language proposals with the expectation of exchanging economic proposals in the afternoon.

A Topic discussed may be a company proposal not a Union Proposal.  All proposals if brought to the table must be discussed, but don't have to be agreed on.

Today the Union and Company commenced bargaining.  Both parties exchanged proposals.
It was agreed that the parties will work with contract language proposals first before we exchange economic proposals.
