I Got Those Empty Feed Bag Blues

Time to fill the feedbag! All we want is a fair contract!

98 comments:

  1. OK Frontier Negotiation Team, Let's keep it simple:

Fair Contract FOR ALL, with no medical Increases, healthy wage Increase, returned Furlough Money, 401K Match, NO PENSION FREEZE, "Loyalty Bonus", and RESPECTFUL TREATMENT BY LOCAL MANAGEMENT written into the Contract will likely result in CONTRACT RATIFICATION.

Brothers and Sisters, feel free to add to the above if I've forgotten anything.

HOWEVER, if You insist on playing games, Harassing Us in Our work groups, spreading nasty Propaganda, and insulting Us with a less than fair Contract, what You'll get is a NO VOTE, all the way up to a vote to STRIKE!!!! Is that clear enough for You?? Do NOT underestimate Us. That will be a FATAL mistake. I'll be a Steward for the Company. But, I'll be discussing the TRUTH about this Company. Be Scared Frontier Management, be VERY, VERY SCARED. TWC is Salivating at the tone of These Negotiations. We all want to HAMMER Frontier's Competition and Bolt Us to the Top. But, We cannot do that if You insist on Harassing Us in Our Centers on a daily basis!!!!!!

  2. Good Morning Brother's and Sister's
and anyone else reading this blog !
Now more than ever we need to stand untited ,we are comming to the last part of this negotiation process and now is not the time to panic or be in doubt we have given to this company far to long with nothing in return but the same old tired and really getting on my nerves retoric that we hear each and every contract! well I for one will not be bullied !thats right bullied !anymore either we get a well deserved fair and decent contract or we walk ! We have heard this all before and never had the gutts or nerve to follow thru with our threat/promise it is now time to put up or shut up!Lets make that 94% 100% no vote. If this contract starts out with a lump sum or pension freez or medical increase our vote should be united as a NO ** are you reading this Bobby Buddy boy ! you need to be replaced you need a dose of what it's like in the real world , how many times do you say no to your children or have to tell them they have to wait until next pay check to buy what they need or have to strech out your medication until payday ? how many times Bobby,Cecilia, Joyce ,Catherine How many ? Im sure our work force would be happy to listen to your tale of crapp ! We are really fed up but I will tell you one thing SLT Our customers will never suffer ! Because we are great at what we do! and they are the only group that giveS us any validation for what we do for this company. So brothers and sisters STAND UNITED ,STAND STRONG BUT MOST OF ALL STAND UP WITH YOUR HEAD HELD HIGH AND VOTE FOR WHAT IS RIGHT AND JUST FOR OUR NY WORKFORCE!REMEMBER SLT, SHARE HOLDERS,CUSTOMERS AND THE COUNTRY IS WATCHING THIS RESULT !

  3. Have waited till today. Was told by a union board member in assignment that we have reach a tentative agreement and we are scheduled to have a meeting on November 30 how come nothing has been posted on the web site. We were also told to clear our desks of personal items.Would like to know what is correct the union board member or the web site. This is driving a wedge between the members that don't know what to do......So any help would be nice

  6. Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As I have told you during our meetings throughout the state, if you do not see it on this blog under my name or on our web site about a tentative agreement or we stopped bargaining do not believe it. I posted that I believe we should have something by the week of Nov 30th. As of today we have nothing. We go back to the table on Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Thank you gil. So...if u don't reach something on monday the 15th does that mean u will go back into negotiations for the rest of the week too?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Don't vote yes to a contract offer that takes more out of our pockets. It's that simple.

  12. Do NOT settle for anything less than what we are looking for with this first contract offer. We need to put ourselves in a good position for future negotiations and that won't happen if we roll over and take less than what we deserve. This contract outcome will set us up for years to come- just like the ones in the past did. We need to act like a united group and fight for ALL members and their concerns.

Do NOT let Stamford divide us. Let them drink their own Kool-Aid and they can continue to live in their little dream world of being justified in treating their workers like crap.

WE have the knowledge, we have the skills to give the customers what they want and need. Corporate fill ins will FAIL while we are walking. TW won't know how to handle the influx of disgusted Frontier customers.

Stay united and don't drink that Kool Aid!

  13. Sea of Blue on Monday- show your union solidarity. It's going to be a big day for negotiators so show your support!

  14. Wow...who knew our CEO could sign? or was in a 1950's show?

  15. Staying tough and united behind our negotiating team for what I'm sure will be another tough day tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be another all nighter for them, I'm sure this has been tough enough already.

  16. Good Luck Tomorrow 363 Negotiating Team. We've got your back and support you all the way. Thank you for all the hard work. Wearing Blue tomorrow.

  19. Its funny how the SLT and management ask so much of us and give nothing in return, You think they work Sundays and the day after Thanksgiving? I dont think they even work 40 hrs a week All the years we spent building customer respect wether it was Frontier, Citizens, Contel. How long have they been around, or more importantly, How long will they be around? Then they tell us if we dont like what we're getting, there's the door. Reminds me of how the NAZI's treated the Jewish. Here wear this so we know who you are. Dont like it tough. Stay United Stay STRONG

    ReplyDelete
  20. We're behind you negotiation team! Hit 'em hard and let them know what we NEED to keep working and not let the customers know they are terrible to work for...although I think most know anyway. My family is ready to call TW on the day after Thanksgiving (haha) to change their service.

    Don't Drink the Kool-Aid folks!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Keep in mind folks that we work for a CEO and crew that have no idea what the words value, integrity, morals, respect and dignity mean. We work for frauds that don't even use Frontier as their own telephone company. The taut commitment to community as a sales technique. These people are 100% about the money in their pockets. They care nothing for communities because WE ARE the community and they are handing us crap.

Wear your blue and show the union 100% support. Do not accept a crap contract! and...

    DON'T DRINK THE KOOL AID!!!

  23. PROUDLY WEARING IBEW 363 BLUE TODAYNovember 15, 2010 at 10:17 AM

30,000 HITS....AWESOME! Pay attention management....people are watching. For those of us receiving e-mails to participate in surveys and local holiday parades etc, PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. We should not be doing any more than our job description requires. Why do we want to march in a parade representing frontier and making them look good when we just get kicked in the teeth by this company? Also...heads up local management...my neighbor is a local business owner and we were chatting over the weekend and when I advised what is going on with our negotiations he told me to let him know the end result because he is receiving offers from Time Warner and has stayed loyal to frontier because of the local employees. He stated if this doesn't go well he is taking his home and all business lines to Time Warner....hows that for local engagement? You want us to be "conversation specialists" you got it!

Worries lots of Worries, especially when supervisor's want to know if they are doing your job right, teach please teach LMAO seriously, weren't you once a upon a time a collections rep, you should know this already.

My brothers and sister.....WE need to STAND for our RIGHTS and what WE Deserve!!! don't listen to the bs Management and Supervisors like to post on the blog. Remember we know who is right.

Management and Supervisors grow up already, seriously you got nothing better to do or is this what you are being paid for???

Enough is Enough and we are ready to do what ever it takes.

    ReplyDelete
  26. ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVLEY, WITHOUT A DOUBT: NO!!!!!! Take your piss poor offer and stick it straight up your xxx. Yep you guessed it! Hows that grab you Frontier management? We're done handing our money back to you. The NO was unanimous, we're sick of being screwed over by you thieves. The majority of us in Directory are single women trying to make ends meet on one paycheck. You come and sit in our chairs for one day and deal with the chronic Berry advertising complaints over and over and over and the complaints that customer's listings are wrong because some Deland or Burnsville rep didn't give a damn enough to even bother to check to see if the customer's listing was correct or even if the customer had a yellow page heading. We went without a raise last year because we believed your lies, we were forced into furlough because you threatened our jobs if we didn't. We're all sticking together this time, Directory, WAH, Outside Techs, CO Techs, Assignors. It's one for all and all for one. No one goes without this time. Time to lay the money down!!

  27. A little birdie just chirped in my ear some very alarming news...The company wants to freeze wages for many of us in schedule E, for 2 yrs, (39 heads). They may offer a small stipend each year and say we will have job security...Ha Ha Ha...We refuse to be treated like second class citizens--We work just as hard as everyone else...Our answer will be a resounding NO---and we are all prepared to STRIKE........I hope the company will rethink its offer, because it is INSANE!!!!As the song goes---You ain't seen nothin' yet........

    ReplyDelete
  28. I am not a second class citizen because I have senority. I have been with this company for may years and I work very hard at what I do. Right now, I feel like you are kicking me in teeth, and I deserve to have a fair contract with a wage increase just like everyone else. And we all know, that with Frontier, job security is only 60 days away. I heard thru the grapevine, that our pay rate will freeze for 2 years, and they want to take us out of the schedule E pay scale. The so called bonus money that want to give us instead won't even pay me back for the furlough that they stole from me last year. Apparently "the company" feels the need to get rid of all of their top senior people in Johnstown. Why? Please, please Brothers & Sisters, vote Fair Contract For All, not just a few. They are trying to divide us now. Please don't let that happen. I stand behind my IBEW 363 bargaining committee.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Screw 'em. we either all get a fair contract or we all walk. that's the bottom line.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It's the same tired BS the company tries during contract time. They count on the job classes to fight against each other. This time- no way. We will ALL fight for each other because our union brothers and sisters are all we have left. Corporate can NOT be trusted, local supervisors are dispensable. Union members need to have each others backs and WE DO!!!!!

SOLIDARITY!!!!!!! NO ONE DRINKS THE KOOL AID!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Freeze our wages!!?? Toss us a bone like we are some stray dog that will grab at anything!!?? Not me kid, I have worked too long and too hard for all the many companies that have been here. How insulting to do this to us now!! NO WAGE FREEZE, NO LUMP SUM BONE AND WE WANT A GWI W/EVERYONE ELSE!

Keep your stupid Kool Aid! I'm not thirsty!

    Hang tough team!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Agreed...fair contract for all or a no vote from all. I am a WAH rep that has had my pay steadily decrease for the past 4 years. I literally can't afford it anymore. We all need to stand together so we all walk away with a fair contract this time. I am more than willing to stand side by side with directory,911 assigners, collections, dispatchers, techs and NOC to make sure all depts get what they need. WAH HAS YOUR BACK . I am asking that all my brothers and sisters from those depts stand with us in WAH also. We cannot take another hit like we did last time. Standing United Behind 363. WE HAVE YOUR BACK PLEASE ALSO HAVE OURS.

    ReplyDelete
  33. 1st and for most...Go 363 bargaining team!!! Don't let the company take our money...We want a "GWI...We need "GWI"...We deserve "GWI"...and as far as job security...well there's no such thing as job security at frontier anymore that went out the window a long time ago. "United We Stand" and we will fight to the end.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Don't let them pit workers against workers. This is an old and lame "negotiating" tactic. They must be getting really nervous now. Send a message to that witch and her flying monkeys that we aren't going to accept anything less than a FAIR contract! Don't drink the Kool-Aid- throw it on her and let's see if she melts!

    ReplyDelete
  35. It saddens me to see how far into the pits this company is wiilling to go in order to hurt their loyal........I stress... LOYAL.... employees with such disrespect, with wage freezes, with medical increases, with pension freeze, with no furlough money returned, with no 401K Match,....etc etc etc. All your LOYAL employees want is a FAIR contract.....why are you doing this to us??.....WE are the ones that helped you to be successful all these years. We always had your back......now it's YOUR turn to have ours......stop being so stubborn........& man up & give us what we deserve.......a fair contract for ALL and we will make you shine!! Otherwise.....we vote NO!!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. We need EVERYONE treated fairly, not just those chosen by the company. Again I will say, NO lump sum, NO wage freeze and YES to a GWI!! C'mon Frontier do you have any idea what kind of work these groups that you want to freeze put out EVERYDAY for this company?? DO YOU??

Everyday...CFMC is clearing jobs, working w/the splicers and local supervisors to get jobs completed on time...don't forget to throw in an over night MVA that takes out a pole or 2 and hundreds of feet of cable ,just to highlight a few things.

Everyday...Repair, really do we have to cover all the nonsense they have to deal with? Customers angry and upset or have medical problems...try telling them they will have their phone back in about 24 hours. That always goes over SO well!!

Everyday...911 is keeping the Frontier name shiny for all the world to see. Updating records and creating new ones as areas get on the "grid".

Everyday...Directory is taking on more and more work. There is SO much more to their job than "reading the phone book". They now work w/at least 3 different publishers, proof about 140 books, keep the billing going smoothly for directory advertising when someone leave Frontier by porting out or moving and so much more.

Do I have all the details of what these fine employees do for this company? No, not at all but before the decision is made to freeze their wages someone should have at least asked.

    UNITED WE STAND!

    Don't drink the kool aid

Thank you bargaining team. I know you are doing your very best for all of us.

  37. Hello my Brothers & Sisters! So let's see what we have accomplished so far..A unanimous strike vote...1st time ever!!! 47. What is piece of mind, a fair contract for ibew members, this equal happy frontier employees.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Do not count on job security unless they put specific numbers of employees into the wording of the contract. They can live up to keeping a department around for a specific amount of time with only ONE employee. Language that is left open to interpretation is dangerous and cannot be taken for face value. If I recall correctly Bobby C and Cecilia are both attorneys and will be highly skilled at adding such language!! We NEED to read any proposals very carefully and not take things for face value alone. Stand together and don't drink the Kool Aid!!!

    November 16, 2010 8:34 AM

Who's job security? Yours? Because this sure does sound like something the Directory department supervisor would say. More scare tactics. Rumor has it he was lurking around this morning asking some individuals in the department for information regarding whether the Union was "contacting" Directory reps last night. Nervous Directory supervisor? Because when we go where will you be then? As far as job security goes, there isn’t any at Frontier. How do you propose we get “job security”? When the company decides to either do away with or move CFMC or 911? Where will our job security be then? Those groups all have much more seniority than most of the current Directory group does, otherwise we’d be there instead of them. Do you propose we ask the Union to add a little clause to the contract language that those individuals can’t be allowed to bump into Directory? How fair would that be to them? They all pay union dues too. So the only person, as far as I can tell, who would obtain any job security if we accepted the pathetic offer that was laid before us would be the Directory department supervisor. If you’re willing to go 3 years without a pay increase (factoring in last year) then I suggest you step up to the plate and tell the Company negotiators that you’re willing to give up your next pay raise and bonus for your Directory group so we can all still pay our bills. Because with the economy the way it is and the cost of everything going up it would be extremely difficult to make ends meet without any pay increase. And just so you’re “in the know” since it’s obvious management hasn’t clued you in on what was actually proposed: The verbiage we were given was “ Pay freeze for 2 years and TRY for job security because it’s not guaranteed”. Hell of a deal huh? We’re taking on more and more work without any extra heads, dealing with screaming business customers one after the other because their advertising was renewed without their authorization, correcting the surmounting listing errors that Burnsville and Deland don’t even care that they’re making, trying to proof gallies which are a mess because they were shoved to the back burner for so long because we didn’t have time to proof them properly and trying to get our own assigned job functions done. And on top of all that we are still damn good at what we do! So if the threat is WV I feel sorry for Frontier because the company would be losing some extremely knowledgeable workers who, unfortunately, are quite obviously unappreciated. If you pay for something cheap, it will act cheap.

  55. To the anonymous post at 8:34am speaking about the huge Directory Dept in WV my thoughts are this...obviously that post is either from someone in management or someone sympathizing with the company and trying to scare our directory members into accepting whatever is thrown their way. If its from management I am not surprised. If its a union member doing the companies bidding for them you should be ashamed of yourself using scare tactics against brothers and sisters that have stood with you and are willing to do it again. I honestly don't know how you sleep at night or how you look your co-workers in the face knowing you are the one trying to scare them into doing something you want not what is best for the members themselves. If you think that doing favors for this company is going to give you some type of security think again. I hope your family is proud of the type of person you are. To my brothers and sisters in Directory and all other depts....Do Not Drink The Companies Kool Aid and Don't Drink Anything From Others Spewing The Companies Garbage.

To my fellow brothers and sisters please remember an agreement does not mean we have to accept it. Over the next few days there will be many rumors about what may be included. The facts will be given at our meetings. Over the next couple of weeks we will also hear from management and people cuddling up to management how we "should take this" and "we are lucky we got what we got". Do Not Let This Scare You! We need to look at what is in the agreement and listen to the recommendations from our Negotiating Team. If this contract is not good for All DEPTS then we need to vote a solid NO. To my brothers and sisters who may be nervous about this please talk to your senior members. We have been through this before. A no vote does not mean we strike. It means our negotiators go back to the table and bargain again. Stand Together and Unite. We are stronger than they think we are.

  67. Well, it's obvious someone doesn't have enough to do at 8:34AM (oh, except walk around with his coffee cup in his hand and read the BLOG). Hopefully, he has job security though just in case the company diecideds to cut out the middleman and send Directory to work at home and answer to Rochester instead.

  68. This is great news but remember it is tenative. We have to vote on it and see if the union recommends it. The BLOG has been great. The local management knows they needs us or they don't have a job either!!! So thank you management team for stirring the pot!!! It bonded the membership. And you know that they like to twist things and make things look one way when they are not.

Now is the time for all members to hold your head high, let's not get into pissing matches until we hear the proposed contract. Let's try not too do the rumor mill thing. That would only hurt us all.

  76. Remember-

"The only thing workers have to bargain with is their skill or their labor. Denied the right to withhold it as a last resort, they become powerless. The strike is therefore not a breakdown of collective bargaining-it is the indispensable cornerstone of that process."

We're not afraid and we are ready.

  81. I would not be putting the horse before the cart just yet on a yes vote on the contract, I really feel like they are going back to the table knowing this company, they did not wake up Tuesday and give to us a fair contract to our expectations i am sure..I really feel they threw a few crumbs and hope we eat it up. Stay strong and United and lets hear the deal!!! We do not need kool aid to wash down a FEW CRUMBS

  83. I want to share a little history with each brother & sister reading this blog. Back several contracts ago, a tentative agreement was brought to the membership for a vote. The 1st vote was rejected, the contract did not pass. A federal mediator was called in and after a few sessions of mediation a package was brought back to the members for ratification. A 2nd vote was taken and the contract passed. The point I am trying to make here is the ONLY 2 items that changed for the 2nd vote where 2 non-mandatory subjects of bargaining. 1 was how a lump sum bonus for some rep classifications should be distributed and 2 was the changing of the administration of the Absent & Lateness Policy. I believe the contract was originally rejected for more important issues then whether some money was distributed bi-weekly or lump sum or negotiating the companies disciplinary policies, which by the way, the Union never negotiated because if they did, they would be partnering with the Company on discipline and would reduce the ability to grievance.
What I am trying to say is "If the contract gets rejected on the 1st vote - STAY STRONG - " You don't always get what you want but there are major issues this time which need to be addressed.
STAY UNITED - STAY STRONG - DON'T BUCKLE

  84. Traditionally this company has counted on the divide between reps and techs. They manipulate contract offers to set the two groups against each other and usually the contract will tip one way or the other so that one group or the other is happy with the terms.

If we truly believe we are brothers and sisters under one group- IBEW 363- then we will vote YES for a contract that is fair to ALL or we will vote NO to a contract that favors a particular group over another.

It would seem the contract offer would get a resounding NO vote IF it is not fair to ALL IBEW 363 members. It must go back to the negotiators and we need to be crystal clear about WHY we are rejecting it. I have to agree with a previous post- there is no way this company came to their senses in the course of a few days and sent our negotiators off with a fair agreement.

We have a long way to go before we have to hit the bricks with our signs. But we all need to be on the same page with the offer- it has to be FAIR for ALL!

Stay strong and stay away from the Kool Aid!

    ReplyDelete
  85. I agree completely with the previous post...if this contract is voted down it does not mean we strike. It means they go back to the table and talk again. If they come back with another contract and that is voted down then the mediator comes in. We are strong and ready for the long haul. If this is a good contract we will all be happy to get this over with. If it is not we are just as willing to vote it down. We need to think long term here. And remember how we have been lied to and burned in the past by this company. Standing Strong And Ready With My NO Vote If Needed.

  86. To the post of Nov. 18, 8:32am--You are absolutely correct. And I for one do not even expect the 1st tentative agreement to pass with a 'YES' vote as our next Contract. This company is not willing to give us what we want or need that quickly or easily. I think they may need a little more convincing that we are serious and we are united and we are willing to "set the standard" so to speak. Remember all the Locals that are bargaining right behind us. We all need to stick together. IBEW has been trying to get Citizens/Frontier to do National bargaining for years. They won't do it. You know why?????? Because it would make us too powerful!!!!!!!!!
..............And.............To the ASS Tech. Supervisor who made the post on Nov. 17 @ 7:25pm...you better rest up now because you haven't seen anything yet. You might need to drink some real HOT coffee to warm up your dumb ass after you have shoveled out 2 ft. of snow to get under a trailer to fix a trbl. when its 20 degrees out in January .....hahahahaha!!!!

  87. Way to go Middletown!!! Nice to see everyone (well almost) Everyone standing for THE SECOND DAY in a row! United we stand. This time im pretty sure the supervisors saw us!

  88. Members, do NOT believe any Contract content rumors that are surely to be flying around the respective locations over the next couple of Weeks. I'm sure Management will be playing mind games with the Members, trying to scare Us into accepting the first Tentative Contract Agreement. None of Us would accept the first Price on a New or Used Vehicle, would We?? Nor, should We accept a less than "fair" First Contract offer from the King of "used car sales"-- Frontier Management. We need to base Our Yes/No decision on the Information presented AT THE INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS, not from Management Peons. Here's another Point to consider. Since We ratified Our current Contract, We've had: a Major Hurricane (Katrina) that Blasted the price of Crude Oil/Fuel Oil/Gasoline/Oil/Blacktop-- Groceries, Shipping Charges... the list goes on. Oh, Keep an Eye on whether Congress will approve and Obama will sign an extension of the 2003 Bush Tax Cuts. If Not, get ready to give up MANY MORE DOLLARS after Jan 1st.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Yes the company's scare tactics will go into full swing until we have gone to our meetings and we are given the FACTS of what was offered. Until then, stay together and don't listen to the lies. We all know how easily these people let lies roll off their tongues.

We have several weeks to go before things get to a mediator. In the meantime local supervisors will be popping the Tums and checking their blood pressure regularly. Just keep doing your jobs and don't pay attention to the rhetoric. We have the numbers on our side this time around.

    Let management drink Kool Aid.

    ReplyDelete
  90. KOOL AID .... is brewing.... A HUGE batch.....

if you smell it..... it will kill....

Don't drink the kool aid ....

    Stay united...

  91. I can tell already that my vote is going to be a big fat NO! Not just because I'm one of the 39 folks that you want to freeze their pay, but for ALL of my brothers and sisters in this company. EVERYONE DESERVES A GWI INCREASE WITH NO MEDICAL INCREASE, NO PENSION FREEZE, A 401K MATCH, AND OUR FURHOUGH MONEY PAID BACK TO US! We are beyond done being lied to by Ms Maggie! We have gone far too long without recognition for what we ALL do on a daily basis for the good of the company. We are sick and tired of being less than middle class while working for a fortune 500 company. We are sick and tired of watching upper management reap the benefits of OUR hard earned work. I personally am not a little worker ant collecting grain for the queen. I'm a normal human being who puts pants on the same way management does everyday one leg at a time and I'm tired of being treated so disrespectful by our dear Ms Maggie. Your offers thus far have been nothing but insulting & degrading. WE THE IBEW 363 MEMBERSHIP ARE ALSO INSULTED BY YOUR CHEAP OFFERS. IT CLEARLY SHOWS HOW LITTLE YOU THINK YOU THINK OF US. Just keep in mind that WE are the bread winners for this company, with out us, little by little everything will fail and your company will be left in the dust. We all know however that you will bail and move on to your next venture in corporate life so you wont have to witness the hell you've created.

I STRONGLY URGE EVERY 363 MEMBER TO VOTE DOWN ANYTHING THATS NOT FAIR FOR "ALL"! I CAN NOT STRESS THE IMPORTANCY OF THE WORK "ALL". Frankly if the contact suits ME but doenst suit all of my other teams, then there WILL be another strike vote coming!

We're not afraid this time, we're tired of your lies and scare tactics! And if you think for one moment that this blog is just a scare tactic then you've sooooo got another thing coming. You see, we dont lay out false hopes or promises. I think the fact of the matter is that you really cant believe that we've finally become UNITED and that we are sticking up for our rights. We can not and will not be broke down again by your lies, your scare tactics nor your drama!

Save your Kool Aid, infact why dont you spike it while you're at it, maybe then you'll be able to accept the fact that WE are not backing down and will fight till the end for a fair contact for ALL!

    ReplyDelete
  92. All I can say is I am sick of not getting what we deserve in Collections and throughout our union. We need to stand together as one! I am not going to believe the rumor mill, It will make you CRAZY! Lets wait to see what the Whole agreement says..Then we vote **no**..Write all your questions down for the bargaining team! I heard a rumor 2 weeks ago about something with the vacations and the picking of our vacations from a conversation members of management were having! Why would that even be on the table..please make me understand! Seniority is ALL we have!

    ReplyDelete
  93. First-Thank You to the Negotiating Team-I can't begin to imagine how the past two months have been-so I "Thank You All" for the long hours that you have put in on our behalf!!!!

Second-I do not trust Frontier at all and the Department I work in does not as well-I agree with comment made on the BLOG that Frontier is throwing us "crumbs"-we are not voting YES unless this is a FAIR contract for ALL-I am grateful everyday-in this ecomnomy-that I have a job, but I am ashamed of the company that I am employed at and that is heartbreaking because there was a time that I was proud to say I worked for this Telecommunications Company-WELL, we are all ready, if we are told STRIKE, we are there...I have never seen such unity-we have prepared and we are ready!!! Are you reading this Management....not I...WE!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Please understand the way the company allows days off and number of people off at the same time and the way its choosen many people do not get vacation time in the summer with the family. this needed to be redone so all hace a shot at the summer time We still and always will pick by seniority

  95. Ok so I am listening to lots of whats going on with the Directory dept...well the rumors that are flying about freezing wages and etc....WE ALL NEED TO STAY STRONG TOGETHER THIS TIME....last time us WAHNY REPS got the big SCREW...not sure how everyone voted that contract thru.....very scary...hopefully this time everyone will stay together....NO VOTE if everyone doesnt get a fair contract...unlike last time when we went to 16.85 an hr...LETS NOT LET THAT HAPPEN TO ANY ONE ELSE.....IF WAHNY GETS WHAT THEY WANT WE WILL STILL STAND BEHIND EVERYONE ELSE AND FIGHT FOR ALL.....THIS TIME NO ONE IS GETTING SCREWED....WE HAVE HAD IT....LETS ALL BE ANGRY TOGETHER....CANT WAIT FOR THE MEETING...........LETS GO IBEW MEN AND WOMEN....LETS DO THIS.........U HEAR THAT MANAGEMENT,,,,,WE AINT SCARED.........BRING IT ON FRONTIER................AGAIN THATS NOT A HEADSET I HAVE ON MY HEAD ..ITS A WINTER HAT ....LOL.....

  96. To the Nov 17th Post at 7:25pm. Yeah, Drinking Coffee, Smoking Cigarettes, Avoiding "REAL" Supervisor responsibilities (like monitoring the Workload & enlisting extra help when needed and NOT HARASSING THE HARD WORKING UNION EMPLOYEES). Frontier Supervisors, especially in the Centers, waste Their time trying to dig up dirt on and disrespecting Craft Employees, rather than setting a RESPECTABLE EXAMPLE to follow, Treating the Union Employees with the class and dignity that They deserve, and- above all, REALLY, TRULY APPRECIATING the EXCEPTIONAL CONTRIBUTION that We all make to the betterment of Our Customers EVERY DAY, FAITHFULLY AND UNCONDITIONAL. While We all appreciate the periodic Donuts & Cider and Ice Cream for the Employees in the Centers, the ACTUAL ACTIONS of Frontier's Management speak VOLUMES as to the TRUE LACK OF RESPECT that They have for Us. Frontier Management: ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN FOOD. Let's follow Congress' ban on Earmarks. Let's see Frontier's Supervisors- COMPANYWIDE, BAN INTIMIDATION/VINDICTIVENESS/HARASSMENT. Are You listening Catherine D?? How about Middletown Supervisors?? Field Supervisors?? Oh, Sherburne Supervisors- You folks, from what Sherburne People tell Me, could be the WORST OFFENDERS OF ALL. I can't wait for the Contract Vote!! If the offer is not fair FOR ALL, I've got a NO VOTE WAITING. Stay tuned & do NOT believe any Contract content RUMORS floating around- likely generated by MANAGEMENT.

    ReplyDelete
  97. If your supervisor is harassing you, that is creating a hostile work environment and it is illegal. Go to your union rep and file a report-EVERY time. If the upper management needs to start spending their time dealing with hostile work environment grievances maybe they will work to change the attitudes.

Miss Maggie was brought up to believe that companies that have union workers must have an acrimonious environment. That is not true. It just takes truly intelligent board members to nurture a healthy relationship between management and union. Unfortunately we work for imbeciles so that harmonious workplace will never be.

So if you feel harassed get to your union rep and file a report. Maybe management will feel a little harassed after getting the reports. I know they are going to feel VERY harassed after the contract vote!
