  1. FYI- in the section below, there are several posts commenting on the "rumor" that the Company may propose to revive the 401k match, albeit at 1/2 of it's former level. Before You get excited, the "catch" is that Our Pension will be FROZEN FOREVER. This Means that whatever Your defined benefit is Today, will remain when You Retire-- a raw deal. And, as others have said, the Original 401K match was "awarded" as a "Permenant" trade-off to giving up Retiree Medical. We all know how much and how often SLT has lied to, cheated, stolen from, and disrespected Us. NO MORE!! One of the Posts in the section below said They wished They could move Their 401k into Their Own Account. Well, You CAN. Call or see a Financial Advisor. If My information is correct, You can roll Your entire 401k into a "Traditional IRA", (Taxes DEFERRED until You begin taking Distributions, no later than age 59 1/2). with NO TAX IMPLICATIONS at this time. Frontier only offers "Traditional" 401k's, NOT ROTH 401k's (Yes SLT, they do exist). However, You CANNOT roll Our 401k DIRECTLY into a "ROTH" IRA, due to the Tax implication differences. I intend on doing this Myself for Two reasons: One, We're dealing with the "Enron" of the Telco Industry with this Company- I will NOT ACCEPT having this Greedy, corrupt Company using My Retirement "nest egg" as Collateral for Loans to fund Their responsibilities. And, Two, rumor has it- the Obama Adm wants to abolish the 401k Program. In favor of what You ask?? A "Guaranteed Retirement Fund"-- aka Social Security, the Sequel. That Means, MORE TAXPAYER MONEY TO RAID for the Government. So, NO TO FREEZING OUR DEFINED BENEFIT PENSION. At least, that's Money that the Government CANNOT Touch at this time.

  4. See what happens when you mess with union people and there lives. Take note Frontier, this could be you to.

LONDON (AP) - BBC reporters are planning further strikes after a two-day walkout over pension changes successfully disrupted the broadcaster's TV and radio programs, a labor union said Saturday.

Jeremy Dear, chief of the National Union of Journalists, said a 48-hour strike that began Friday had forced some news programs off the air and prompted radio stations to air repeats instead of some live broadcasts.

The union said it plans another two-day strike beginning Nov. 15 and threatened further labor action over the Christmas holidays.

The BBC's flagship "Today" radio program was canceled Friday but broadcast as normal on Saturday.

Services are "not totally back to normal, but not far off," the BBC said. "It may not be quite as polished as it usually is, but for most viewers it will be the same service they are used to."

BBC employees were protesting planned pension changes that have been rejected by the union, which has about 4,100 members at the BBC.

"News programs have virtually been written off in Scotland and we expect huge disruption across the BBC again today," Dear said Saturday, speaking at a protest in Glasgow, Scotland.

He claimed many staff had lost faith in senior management.

"They have got so many things wrong, from executive pay to the freezing of the license fee as well as the cuts to journalists' pensions," he said.
As a public broadcaster that does not carry advertising, the BBC is funded mainly by a mandatory 142.50 pounds ($230) yearly fee paid by every household with a color TV - a levy set by Britain's government.

The BBC has already announced plans to ax radio stations, cut its Web pages by half and sell off magazines under cuts to its 3.5 billion pound ($5.6 billion) annual budget.

Under sweeping spending cuts announced last month, Treasury chief George Osborne said the license fee would be frozen for six years, effectively a 16 percent budget cut for the BBC.

  6. I called my financial adviser and he said unless Fidelity allows the rollover I couldn't do it. There may also be a situation where you need to not contribute or touch the 401k for a year before you can do something with it.

Also we will lose the pretax benefit because Frontier doesn't seem to have any other retirement plan that we can contribute to pretax. I'm still looking into it but just like with anything at this company it'll be a pain in the ass to make it happen but I would LOVE to take some of that "asset" away from her.

I think we need to be very insistent about not having our pension touched in anyway other than something that will benefit us.

    ReplyDelete
  7. It's scary to me to think that Frontier actually employs people(?) to sit around all day figuring out ways to screw the rest of the employees over. That's just satanic. Think about it. Maggie can justify it all she wants but IT IS WHAT IT IS. Evil.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Touch my pension I vote NO. Don't give me a decent wage I vote NO. Increase medical over the 19% we pay now I vote NO. Management negotiators are you getting the idea? We are not gonna take the crap you throw at us this time around. We haven't even begun to fight...we are in this for the long haul. Want it to end? Give us a decent contract. Game Over.

  13. We shouldn't be negotiating pension for 401k.

    We should be getting BOTH.

    AND retiree medical
    AND a raise
    AND free service,

    should I keep going?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Deland needs to be eliminated!! The idiots don't even know how to order a phone directory for a customer through CERT! They cold transfer or give the customer's the Directory department number even though they've been told on numerous occasions that DIRECTORY DOES NOT HOUSE PHONE BOOKS. Then again what else would I expect for minimum wage employees. You get what you pay for.

  17. To the 363 MEMBERS!

Most of you are awake, but to the ones that aren't:

    WAKE UP!!!!!!!

Stop blaming the union or the negotiating team for what we've lost over the last, however many, contracts.

    It's YOUR vote.

If YOU vote yes to a sh*t contract, then YOU deserve to get sh*t on.

Put your VOTE where your mouth is.

Vote NO to getting sh*t on again, and again, and again.

  19. Amen on the comment on placing blame. Yes we got complacent or we got scared but NO MORE!!! Enough is enough!!

    AND....

I stopped all stock transactions in my 401k. If you have an online account set up you can do it in a few minutes.

Do NOT touch our pension, give us back a 401k match, do NOT raise our medical contribution (geez, not even asking to have it eliminated!) and give us a raise!!! We do a great job for Frontier- time for management to give something back!!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. They can take those uniforms and send them to charity.

We won't give up the day after Thanksgiving. We won't give up Sunday premium. We want a match on 401k, we do not want our pension touched and we won't tolerate a hike in our medical premiums.

We want a fair raise and we want our MONEY BACK THAT WAS STOLEN FROM US LAST YEAR!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Regarding the 12:26 post about stopping stock transactions,

    You're speaking of future contibutions.

    That's a great idea!

    But,

You can also take ANY 401k money in Frontier stock, and move it into another mutual fund in the plan.

If you have any 401k money that's in frontier stock, you're crazy. Move it ASAP. Yes, you can!

They changed that rule after the Enron debacle.

The only frontier stock I have is what they gave us free.

Don't let them use your hard earned money.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Since an immediate rollover of the 401k into a Traditional IRA doesn't seem possible at this time, the plan is to FREEZE Contributions. I have several ROTH IRA's in in need of contributions. For Most individuals, a ROTH account is a far better idea than the Traditional Account, as most people retire in a Higher tax bracket than They start out in. That is, unless they work for el-Cheapo Frontier. Maybe I'll liquidate some/most of My 401k when I buy My first home and use the Savings I have set aside for a House to fund a large ROTH Account. One way or the other, I'm going slam this Company EVERY CHANCE I GET.

For those of Us that keep Our 401k's active, bring back the Employer match. Before You say "No company has a Contributory Pension AND Employer match on a 401k, Your LYING. Raymond Corp in Greene, NY HAS BOTH. Hey Maggie, What happened to Your Initial Plan to turn Frontier's Management Structure to a FLAT One (Few layers, Lean VP numbers)??? Our Management Structure is FAT, BLOATED AND OVERPAID. Just like Our Federal Government!! If You all want to save Money and cut costs, TRIM THE FAT ALREADY!! Show some Leadership and Class for Once!!

  28. Q3 conference this morning. I wonder if Maggie's words will reflect what her negotiation team is spewing. I read 50 million in savings, Isn't that awesome? To bad those monies are not being used to facilitate a fair contract with 363 NY. I can't wait to see how she answers the questions re labor relations with 363. She and the CFO will probably lie to investors just like they lie to employees.

Maybe supers can get a jump start on the strike by performing our jobs on black Friday, after all the anticipate such high call volume. Oh that's right, although they might have the knowledge to supervise, they actually can't do the job themselves. Maybe they can work on getting the customers to the correct call center? I wonder if that is too difficult? Oh wait, they don't route calls? Isn't that the sermon they always preach?

Lies lies and more lies, Dont drink the kool-aid.

    UNITED WE STAND!!!!!!!

Go IBEW 363 we are united!

    ReplyDelete
  29. What exactly is the message Maggie is trying to send to this particular local? Is it because we are first up for a contract and she wants all the union locals to know that she will attempt to stronghold us?

The 401k match should be given back to us with no concession on the pension. this company keeps attempting to show us they will "give" with one hand while they are reaching into our pockets with the other hand to take something else. We should stand firm on not having the pension frozen. At the rate these corporations are raping this country and the middle class our pensions will be the only thing we'll have.

This time around we need to make a stand and stop the corporate robbery. We have the other local's support so we need to stay strong and insist on a fair contract that sets the precedent for future negotiations. We won't believe the lies any longer and we won't be doormats for corporate. Enough is enough.

Happy workers are productive workers and we are NOT happy!!! Stop stealing from us and give us back what you stole from us last year and give us a fair contract!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Local engagement means bringing customer service BACK to where the customers are!!! No local lines in Deland= the place should be shut down and those jobs brought back to NY!!!

This company is a JOKE!!! I really wonder about the IQ of the investors or don't they care that they are being lied to as well?

Put customer service BACK WHERE THE CUSTOMERS ARE!!! You people in Stamford should be ashamed of yourselves every time you pick up a phone and it isn't a Frontier land line! What's the matter? Aren't there enough McMansions in NY for all you snobs?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Just dumped frontier stock out of my 401k. 'nuff said.

  32. “Our Verizon transaction is off to a strong start with customer metrics stabilized, over $60 million of synergies realized during the third quarter, and broadband expansion to thousands of new homes and businesses,” said Maggie Wilderotter, Chairman & CEO of Frontier Communications. “Frontier’s local customer engagement and dedicated employees once again drove solid quarterly performance. We made an excellent start toward our target of 85% broadband coverage, and we are increasing our synergy estimate to $550 million, all while generating healthy free cash flow that safely covered our $0.75 annual dividend.”

SHARE THE WEALTH WITH YOUR WORKERS MAGGIE AND STOP STUFFING YOUR POCKETS!!!!!

  33. How about we change the lyrics to Maggie May round a little.... (sorry Rod...)

Wake up Maggie we think we got something to say to you
It's late November and we really need a contract from you
We know we keep your pockets full but we feel we’re being used
Oh Maggie we couldn't have tried any more
You took all our money away just to spend it in a day
You killed our trust away and that's what really hurts

The morning sun when it's in your face really shows your age
But that don't worry us none because you’ll be moving on someday (soon-we hope)
We cringed at all of your jokes-our ire you didn't need to coax
Oh, Maggie we couldn't have tried any more
You stole our money away just to spend it in a day
You stole our pay and that's a pain we can do without

All we needed was a leader to give a guiding hand
But you turned into a crook and mother what a crook, you wrung us out
All you did was wreck our pay
and the next morning kicked us in the head
Oh Maggie we couldn't have tried anymore
You stole our money away just to spend it in a day
You stole our wages we couldn't let you again if you tried

We suppose we could collect old cans and get the nickels back
Or steal some day old bread and not make a living out of slaving here
Or find ourselves picketing the plant and telling the public we need a helpin' hand
Oh Maggie we wish we'd never seen your face
You stole our pay and that's a pain we can do without…

To "Ex Frontier Investor": I know how You must feel, a real load off Your Shoulders. Frontier COULD be a Good Investment, if the Current CEO and entire Board of Directors were REMOVED.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Management is back to posting on older threads again trying desperately to get us to believe that the company is negotiating in good faith. BULL! They are just getting nervous this time because we aren't rolling over and believing the lies any longer. We will choose wisely and we will listen to our negotiators because they understand perfectly what we had stolen from us and they want us to have a fair contract this time around. Management needs to spend their time studying up for when they will have to be talking to customers directly and trying to do our jobs.

  41. why does the management of this company think that they can just do whatever they want. Really??!! First--we give them furlough time...then they buy verizon properties in WV--THen turn around and give WV a $5000 dollar bonus for being "loyal" employees...now they want to freeze our pension in NY!!! REALLY!! we are loyal employees too--why is it that we have to have everything taken away from us! i wonder if it were their retirement and bonuses on the line if they would budge??? I SERIOUSLY DOUBT IT!!!! 363 UNITED ALL THE WAY! GOOD LUCK TEAM!! DON'T BACK DOWN!!!

  42. why is there no petition and or information about union sponsored medical insurance.....if it is cheaper why are we not telling the company to pack it??????

  43. Investors don`t care, they care about the dividend only, they are`nt really customers just greedy to make as much as possible, they could make lots more if this company was ran correctly and it`s employees treated fairly. The only people listening are our customers, so take the fight to the customers not the FTR message board. Investors are like the CEO greedy, bottom line is money and they don`t care how its gotten.

  45. WAH REP STANDING WITH THE UNIONNovember 8, 2010 at 7:45 PM

WAH REPS UNITE....Now is not the time to be drinking the kool aide. It is very important that we only be doing things that are within the boundaries of our job functions. We should not be taking on other responsibilities and doing our supervisors jobs for them. We are WAH reps and our job functions are to answer calls, assist our customers and sell Frontier products. It is not to collect our teams numbers, "team lead", or anything else that is a supervisors job. I mean no disrespect to our immediate supervisors. But at a time when this company doesn't respect us enough to be honest and truthful. When money is taken out of our pockets and our families liveliehoods are affected we need to take a stand. I am a WAH rep so don't ask me to come into the office. You want Work at Home you've got it. We all need to stand strong right now and united. I was so impressed by the strong show of support at our recent union meetings. Lets keep it up...stand strong and united and we will all succeed together.

  46. Maggie and all the VP'S in this company can make Hundreds of thousands of dollars but they just want to keep taking from us so all the Top management can keep getting richer whikle were working our tails off and I wonder how much of a Bonous the people at the top got for there great ideas to open Deland or what about Frontier 1 or the wireless in TN how much did that cost and what a joke all of it has been what is the Board of Directors doing oh yeah there making there money from us also but keep taking from all of the workers that make the money for your high paid A??'s

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm going back to the "respectful meetings" a few weeks ago. Mgmt you lied, cheated, and stole from us last year. You used "tough economic times" to put us on furlough. Then less than 24hrs later Verizon was bought with billions of dollars. GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK !! Then you get some respect back, PUNKS.

    ReplyDelete
  48. This company has money to burn and management is shoving it all in their pockets. It's about time we get our share. We gave up too much last year, got lied to. We need this company to start treating us fairly and that means share the wealth.

    ReplyDelete
  49. It sounds like the company is tight fisting the money again. We all need to stay strong and support our negotiating team through these discussions. If management had their way they would have us writing checks to them each week instead of the other way around. They are still playing games and are still looking to make us fearful by dragging this out to the holidays. Don't fall for it. The stock is shooting up (finally) and this company is making money hand over fist. It's time to finally get our share for all the hard work we do. We want a fair contract and we aren't drinking the Kool-Aid!

  50. Re: the post from "WAH rep Standing With The Union" on 11-8 at 7:45PM. Yes it is VERY IMPORTANT that we are only doing what needs to be done to perform our job duties and assist customers but NOTHING MORE. This also applies to all other departments Assignment, Dispatch, Directory,911,NOC,Techs,Retail Offices and anyone else I may have missed. If its not part of your job function don't do it! Management is trying to sweeten us up with their toxic "kool aide". Being friendly and acting like the things they are doing are "for us" or like they are doing us a "favor". KEEP YOUR FAVORS AND GIVE US A FAIR CONTRACT. UNITED BEHIND 363!

  51. Good Morning IBEW 363! Anybody read the Bargaining Update from yesterday? Doesn't sound good does it? Sounds to me like the company is up to its old tactics of offering garbage and taking more than they give. We are just a joke to them...they think they can throw us crumbs like we are beggars and we will be so grateful we will take it. WRONG ANSWER. To the Management that is reading this Blog you better get the message and get it fast. WE ARE NOT KIDDING...WE ARE SERIOUS AND WE ARE UNITED. Our negotiating team is bargaining in good faith...its time the company bargaining team did the same thing. Enough of the B.S. Bring the serious offers. By the way, I also have an informational picketing sign in my front yard. My neighbors were calling like crazy last night wondering what was going on. Glad the previous poster suggested it. I only patronize businesses that keep jobs local, where the customers are. I recall all of the talk when the center up north closed. Now, I have to deal with Morons in Deland Florida, where Frontier has NO CUSTOMERS!!!??? You'd better not MESS AROUND WITH MY LOYAL NEIGHBORS IN THE SHERBURNE/NORWICH AREAS, who are also DAMN GOOD EMPLOYEES AND NICE TO DEAL WITH!!! 59. Another contract extension, another round of more of the same from the Company negotiators. When our team reports nothing, because of having been taught "if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything", it actually says volumes! The company is clearly not offering a fair contract, which is all we are asking. Anything less is a "no" vote from me. Stay strong and united behind our negoating team, they are working long hours on all of our behalves and have my full support and appreciation. Go 363!

Negotiating team please do us all a favor and don't bring that back w/you for a vote. I have voted NO in the past and will have no problem doing it again. I have warm winter boots good for long hours outside.

  63. To my bargaining team... hello from the trenches..we are strong and united..and willing and able..we should stand back for a week ..or 2 .. and collect power from the working forces..from the ones who do what's needed ...let's see what happens,,take a breathe ..let them panic..my supervisor is wearing some type of cardiac monitor(no shit!) so I can only assume some type of stess(you think?) on management to have a "contingent " stategy ...we have like a dozen people here from everwhere but reality having meetings...bless your souls!!! They cannot do what we do here in Sherburne..step back my brothers and sisters...!!!gather up your resources ..sincerely thinking of you ...your fellow union members..

  64. Giving jobs to states where we do not provide service is outsourcing. Period. They are not invested with the customers because they do not live among them, go to church with them, see them in the community. How can management tout local engagement when they are based in a non-Frontier area? How can Deland be effective when their nearest territory is Alabama? Our CEO spews lies and garbage to the investors and they suck it down because they are filling their pockets with dividends. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the middle class gets squeezed to non-existence.

For those of us that are getting shaky-don't. Our negotiators are picking apart this contract bit by bit and they will fight for what we want. There are more important things to fight for sometimes besides money- those being respect, dignity and integrity- all things management took away from union members when they lied about the furlough. Don't drink the Kool Aid.

  65. "Stop Blaming the Union . Our union has reps at the table that are receiving pay to train new hires one day and negotiating salaries the next. . Who's laughing now ?Is this even legal? Whats our Union thinking? Whats next, is our Union going to pick and choose member's of our management team to sit on their side."

    HUH?

If you could clarify what it is you are trying to say that would be helpful. Are you implying that the union trains Frontier workers?

The negotiation team from Middletown doesn't have anything to do with training, I believe. Are you talking about our union stewards? If you could be a little more specific that would help greatly in understanding your post.

  66. To the 363 bargaining team,

Please bring back the "piece of shit" proposal they are offering this week so we can once again, vote 94% NO. They obviously didn't believe us the first time.

    To all 363 members,

If you are a new employee who hasn't gone through negotiating a contract, please stand up for yourself now. Don't be in a position, 9-10 years from now, where you'll be saying "we lose something every contract"

    To all management,

We know your sweating! We can see it!

Good Morning IBEW 363! Bargaining Team we are behind you here in Johnstown also. Supporting your efforts and ready to vote NO if the company continues to play their games of taking back more than they give. We are not going to accept freezing of pension. If that comes back my vote is NO and I won't even look at the rest. Good Luck today and thank you for the long hours you are putting in on our behalf.

  71. Lets all remember something, we're the ones who built customer faith and trust over many years with different companys and alot of management that has come and gone. How long has the slt been around? Now they take that trust and prevert it into an opportunity to sell. No sales techs no quotas. No uniforms that I would never buy. They say its for our image, why are we driving 15 yr old rust buckets with 200,000 miles. boy there's an image. If the slt is really concerned about Frontier and customer service why dont they prove it? Take a furlough for one year since you all make enough in one year for an entire family to live a lifetime on, and invest it back into placing fiber, that will garner customer service and dedication to our products. I'm guessing they wont, they talk the talk but dont walk the walk like we do. To quote an old movie " we're mad as hell, and we're not going to take it anymore"

The company just paid out 186 million in dividens . Now they want to freeze our pension and wages and increase health care. Hello...... without The union employees there would be no investors. Give me a break. Maggie and team your all asses! I'm so done with this shit. Even if we lost our jobs we would all be better off on unemployment and healthy NY. Nothing to lose 363 only to gain. Up yours Frontier management I hope you all choke!

  77. I wouldn't be surprised if more supervisors are popping Tums and are on some sort of anti-anxiety medication. This is what this ridiculous management does to their workers and guess what local supervisors? They don't care a fig about you guys either. You know if this strike happens they will leave you folks swinging in the breeze and blame you for the propaganda not working. How about you local supervisors get together and bring your concerns to Stamford? Think that would help? Or do you think you'll get treated just like we do? We're really very similar except the union has our backs. Who has yours? Not Maggie and her Gossip Girls clan. Don't be that naive. If you guys stop drinking the Kool Aid your vision will start to clear, but it probably won't do you much good now.

Our union has reps at the table that are receiving pay to train new hires one day and negotiating salaries the next. . Who's laughing now ?

If you think this is getting you somewhere think again. I suggest you start joining the forces WHO HAVE VOLUNTEER TO REPRESENT THEIR TEAM FOR A FAIR CONTRACT.

  80. There is only one real subject on this site.....getting a fair contract. Don't allow yourselves to get distracted by phoney posts from jerks and company hacks. That is designed to throw you a curve ball - let it fly past and don't even bother to swing at it.

Ignore those posts that about five words into them, you can recognize that it's NOT a person who is on the side of the working people -it's just a plant.

Playing with them is a waste of valuable union time.

We want a fair contract. We deserve a fair contract. We were lied to last time and taken advantage of in a disgusting display of greed.

It's time to make that up to us. After that happens, we can work together and make things better and more profitable for all sides here.

But just remember company leaders, you screwed us and that is how we got to this very point. People need closure to it NOW.

Fix it and the exact thing you want to happen will happen. You will have productive employees who are happy and don't feel screwed. They will make YOU more money. People do more when they are treated fairly and as part of the team.

You need to make that up to your hard workers here in NY. It was wrong what you guys did to us.

Settle the contract and give an across the board raise to all of us, leave our health plan contribution and our pension alone.

It's time to end this before we can't put it back together again.

That's the word from Big Mouth.

    1. Replace watching who is not in with Spend the day reading the blog.

    2. Replace comments on Union employees report cards with pretend you are a union rep and make up all the stories you can think off.

Wow GROW UP MANAGEMENT, YOU ALL LOOK LIKE FOOLS, AND GUESS WHAT YOU ARE NOTHING WITH OUT US.

    ReplyDelete
  89. $186 million paid out in dividends and she want to keep us over a barrel and not give us a wage increase? These can not be human beings that are making these decisions. If you step back and think about what the want of money is doing to these people it's nuts. Yes we want a raise too but we're struggling to makes ends meet. They just stuff their pockets with money and try to decide which luxury car to buy next.

Folks, we are experiencing the extermination of the middle class and our CEO is reveling in it. People here have used the word "evil" and it can sound a little out there or extreme, but it isn't. Think about it for a minute and you will see that these management people are pure evil. They are cold empty shells that just collect money and don't give a damn about anyone but themselves.

When we stop working, the money stops flowing in. Yeah, the local management will work hard for a few days to keep up but it will unravel quickly. Independent contractors will suck this CEO dry, taking advantage of the situation.

We are working for a devil in a fairly poor disguise. This company will never have INTEGRITY until she is gone. We will never have DIGNITY because of this woman and her troop of flying monkeys. If striking will force her hand then we need to do it. There's no other way out of this unless she miraculously changes her mind.

Time to get the signs printed, gather the cold weather gear and prepare. This "woman" will stop at nothing to put us all out of work or in the poor house.

DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID and let's do what we need to do!!!!!

  91. There is one way the SLT could save some money. Just take a look at the GM in the NY West area. She does not allow her tech supervisors to do there job always overridiing jobs to the techs. she has us running circle around each other and then she wonders why the work is not getting done. If she wants to be a tech supervisor then she should apply for the job. Not only that she sits in the office all day long and when she losses a long time business customer to TW. What does she do? she ask the techs what happened and then wants one of us to stop in a talk to the cust. when she was already warned about the possible jump to TW. She has the least amount of techs and the smallest area to manage and she can't even do that. so they should take a look at the number of business cust she has lost. Maybe she should get out of her office and go to the customers after all isn't that part of her job. The only time she does leave the office is to go to her car for a privite conversation. Really Maggie how did this one ever get hired. She really polled the wool over your eyes. Or maybe she's the koolaid maker.

  92. NEVER GONNA BE MANAGEMENTNovember 11, 2010 at 10:16 AM

everyone , we need to remember, this country is a democracy. that includes everything in it, including the workforce that pays the taxes which ultimately makes it run. we CANNOT let the people in upper management run this like a tyranny. the dicktasters in the slt have been working on this for too many years and it time to make them stop. we don't have anyone backing us except for ourselves. if you think the first and second level weasel-dick pussies are on your side, you are mistaken. they go WHEREVER upper management pulls their dustflaps. as one entity, we will grind this out. there will be shitpiles to trudge through, but this will be the foundation for our future, and for future contracts. my father always said, "be afraid of nothing, because once afraid, always afraid". it's time we smack them in the asskisser!!!! go 363

THE TRUTH IS ANGER DOES MAKE PEOPLE NEGATIVE

IT IS GOOD FOR US TO TALK WITH EACH OTHER AND FEEL VALIDATED FOR HOW WE FEEL.IT IS UNHEALTHY FOR US TO HOLD ALL THIS RESENTMENT IN.

THERE WAS A TIME WHEN WE MANY OF US COULD SAY THEY TOOK PRIDE IN WORKING FOR FRONTIER.

GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT PAY, GREAT BENEFITS!THAT FAR OUTWEIGHED THE STRESS MOST OF THE TIME.

BUT NOW EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED, THINGS ARE VERY WRONG IN THE COMPANY. THE PAY IS GONE, THE BENEFITS ARE GOING, AND THE GREAT PEOPLE ARE SCATTERED!

THE SINCERE APPRECIATION WE HEAR FROM OUR CUSTOMERS THAT ARE SO HAPPY WHEN WE FINALLY HELP THEM AND FIX THEIR PROBLEMS OR GO ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR THEM, IS ALL WE HAVE TO KEEP US GOING! IT IS NOT ABOUT SELLING THEM SOMETHING.

BUT THIS IS SOMETHING WE HAVE ALWAYS DONE AND CONTINUE TO DO, WE ARE THE HEART OF FRONTIER BUT WE DO NOT FEEL APPECIATED, IF WE DID THEN NONE OF US WOULD FEEL THE NEED LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD!

WE ARE ANGRY? BECAUSE OUR WAGES ARE GONE!!!!

THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS-GONE FROM OUR PAYCHECKS ANNUALLY!

    AND...

OUR MORTGAGE ESCROW'S AND TAXES, HAVE INCREASED

OUR HEATING, ELECTRIC, AND WATER ALL INCREASED

GAS, FUEL, FOOD, NOW HEALTH INSURANCE, ALL INCREASED

WE CANNOT BUT HELP TO FEEL HURT BY HAVING OUR WAGES TAKEN AWAY FROM US AND OUR FAMILIES

WE FEEL BEAT ON, KICKED DOWN ,CHEATED, USED, AND ABUSED!!!

WE REALLY DO CARE...WHY FIGHT US?

    ~~~~~~OF COURSE WE ARE HAPPY TO HAVE A JOB~~~~~~
    ~~~~~~OF COURSE WE DO NOT WANT TO STRIKE~~~~~~~~

    ~~~~~YOU CAN STOP ALL OF THIS VERY EASILY~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WORK WITH US~~~~~~
    ~~~~~~~NOT AGAINST US~~~IT IS THAT SIMPLE~~~~~~

WE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR SOME POSITIVE FEEDBACK COMING BACK FROM BARGAINING****NOT NEGATIVE!

WE DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ANYMORE (THIS IS WHAT THEY WANT TO TAKE AWAY)***ENOUGH ALREADY*******

WHAT WE WANT TO HEAR IS (THIS IS WHAT THEY WANT TO GIVE YOU BACK) AND WE WANT IT TO BE EVERYTHING WE LOST AND A RAISE $$$$$$$$$$$$$

WE HAVE WAITED PATIENTLY AND FEEL DISRESPECTED BY THESE OFFERS?

AND MAYBE IT IS NOT DONE PERSONALLY TO ALL OF OUR FACES.

BUT IT IS DONE BY THE ACTION'S OF THE COMPANY, THE BAD NEWS TACTICS, AND QUITE HONESTLY, THE SNEAKY BACK DOOR WAY OF TAKING AWAY OUR COMMISSION-WHICH IS AN IN YOUR FACE SLAP!

SO WE ASK YOU NOW THAT WE ALL AGREE ENOUGH IS ENOUGH****ARE YOU READY TO PLAY FAIR?********

WE CANNOT WALK AWAY THIS TIME, WE CANNOT WORRY ABOUT WHAT IF'S? WE CANNOT GIVE IN, WE CANNOT GIVE UP, BECAUSE NOW IS THE TIME TO GET WHAT WE DESERVE AND WE FEEL WE WILL BECAUSE THIS TIME AROUND YOU CAN FEEL THE ENERGY, THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE, THE EXCITEMENT OF UNITY, OUR WORDS SPEAK THE TRUTH AND YOU KNOW IT!

  102. An Update for Wednesday November 10

The Union and company met today and continued talking about contract language and ecomomic issues.

The Res and Bus WAH reps were at the table today and provided great detail about their respective duties and their passion to have this function grow and be successful for all parties.

Discussions today were very productive. The Union and Company were committed to try and get a tentative agreement today. They met till 4am in the morning, then decided to meet again on Monday November 15th.

The union bargaining team feels that we have made alot of progress these last two days. The question is can we come to an agreement on Monday? There are four critical items that need to be addressed. If we can work them out then we can come to a tentative agreement.

Either way we are certain that we will have a contract for the members to vote on during the week of November 29th. The difference is will the union bargaining team support it or not?

Remember United We Stand, Divided We Fall

Thank you all for all your support, it is your support that keeps your bargaining team going.

    ReplyDelete
  103. To our bargaining team...A BIG THANK YOU for all your hard work and hours spent working to get our new contract. To my brothers and sisters we need to remember just because there is a contract to vote on does not mean we have to take it. If its a good fair contract I will be happy to vote yes. If its not I am just as willing to vote no. And this needs to be good and fair for all not only certain departments. Continue to stand strong and united. The company will be pushing us to accept this and whispering in our ears scare tactics of what will happen if we vote no....we can't fall prey to these scare tactics. We need to listen to our bargaining committee when they present the contract and what their opinions are on it.

  104. I picked a good day to get rid of the FTR stock in my 401k- it went at the highest the stock has been in a year!. Now it's going back down again. And this is ALL the Stamford people watch- if money goes into their pockets or not.

They don't care if we struggle to pay our bills, they don't care if we are unhappy. But they will care if customers are getting pissed and leaving for TW because of service issues and issues they will have if we strike.

We aren't afraid to turn down a contract that doesn't begin to reverse the years of crap we've had shoveled on us. And we will walk if necessary. Informational signs on lawns in customer territories is an EXCELLENT idea.

Don't drink that Kool Aid from Stamford!

  106. Fellow Brothers and Sisters: Here is a Company-Generated Post in "Frontier Chatter"-- which is a PSC Monthly Newsletter. I thought this would be a perfect subject for Us to comment on Here, since It's a RARE INDIVIDUAL that feels comfortable giving Their TRUE OPINION about how They feel about working at Frontier, when ASKED BY A MEMBER OF MANAGEMENT (as was happening Nov 11th in the Sherburne Center).

    And I Quote, verbatim:

"Keeping & attracting more customers- sounds difficult to achieve, right? In reality it is not- it requires each of us to take ownership of the product- in the workplace we must make sure that every order is handled as if it were for a family member. Outside the workplace we must be good stewards for the company- explaining the values of our service along with our commitment to our community"

Comment away Brothers and Sisters, Keep it clean. But, otherwise, no holds barred. Let's give this Company's Management Team what they SAY THEY WANT: THE TRUTH, no sugar coating allowed. To 363's Negotiating Committee: 4:30am?? Wow, You folks have My ultimate respect and Admiration. We have Your back.

I myself like the Customer First part of Maggie message, To bad the SLT does not follow her values, it is all about number and sales, along with you have 7 min to do it in and 7 calls per hour and 3.47 per hour and that is if you want to keep the top pay of 18.10 we hacve the reps working for 16.85 and can not over come the gate to get the rate of pay higher, because the NY WAH PUTS THE CUSTOMER FIRST... I think we are the only ones that live by Maggies message.. And yet she will not even do a stop over in Johnstown,, thats ok Maggie we dont need to see or hear you, we live your message, How about dealing us a fair hand and putting the NY WAH 2nd.. GO 363 WE HAVE YOU COVERED...
