  1. Frontier management is in for a rude awakening. They think they can use threats and scare tactics to make NY employees do what they want. Think again. We have been lied to and treated poorly for too long. Frontier use to be a place that I was proud to work for. I don't tell people where I work anymore. I hear too many complaints from people. This needs to be changed. If Frontier does not wake up, they will be out of business. The public also demands to be treated fairly. They are not getting that with the "New Frontier". They have the option of leaving for another provider and many of them are going. Frontier needs to stop the bull. Bring the jobs back to NY where the employees care about customers and take pride in the exceptional job we do for our customers. NY employees and NY customers are fed up with Frontier. If they don't change the way the treat both of them, they will have neither. Watch out Maggie, that means no bonus for you.

  6. stop raising our heath insurance 4% more than our raises. This is the only company I know that the employees loss money every year. The price of everything has gone up . Cost of living is up but our pay is down.... time to stop taking and start giving back to those whom have given to you

  10. Local Management stays out of the spotlight- They won't speak out on our behalf. The don't want anymore negative attention drawn to them. They know- they shouldn't be here. When consolidation went through - Catherine & Jim failed the WAH teams - They saved supervisors who lacked passion & drive to keep the WAH reps going and let go the 2 supervisors that were worth saving. Catherine won't let someone capable of doing a Great Job work for her as she doesn't like competition. Catherine also fails the WAH team in NY so she can build & get headcount elsewhere. The more territories she fills- The higher her budget.

  11. Amen to Sherburne Centrex !!!!! The management are a big part of the problem!! Most of them are puppets on a string who do not have any consistancy what so ever. They never address the issue but instead make it difficult for the the ones that don't deserve it. In past years there use to be a mutual respect between craft and management but that isn't the case any more. Get involved and stand up for what you deserve stop getting shit on.

    ReplyDelete
  12. No we won't back down. We want a fair contract. We deserve a fair contract. We have worked for a fair contract. Bobby C...you want us to work Saturdays in the retail centers....well, we agree, we need to capture the shoppers. What do you give us for that? We want our money back. We did not give you our money (1.2 Million) so that you could make it a prize for the 300 legacy employees. We thought we were helping you out. To save money, to keep the company going....we should have known better. You stole from us, to give to others. Bobby C. would it not be better for you to excuse yourself and go and get on Johnny's RV touring the midwest and handing out checks??? Can we have them "capture" you (like they did Mikey, I am sure you will enjoy playing with him) until you give us a good contract????? Maybe you can make a YouTube Video begging for release??? WONT YOU TRUST US BOBBY???? Can't wait for next weeks news. Stay tough negotiation committee...we are with you

  13. Count me and everybody I have spoken with IN. We are done getting the short end of the stick all of the time. IT STOPS THIS YEAR.

Thank you to all of the other locals who are standing together with us. I really like what I am seeing now! THIS IS A DAM UNION!

I think every one of us should send this site to our entire email list at home and let people know they are screwing us if that is where this goes! I say let's go viral.

If we get pain then dammit they need to get pain.

I think if customers EVER HEARD the furlough story and the resulting bonuses given to the other employees with our money _ after they claimed they needed the furlough savings to make it financially....

There would be a mass public stoning of Frontier.

So go ahead Bobby C, Maggie, Cecilia and all of the rest of you - screw us - go ahead - because I know I will be one mad sonofabitch wrecking ball for YOU this time.

    Whose wit me??

    ReplyDelete
  14. No Pension, No 401k match, Increasing health insurance cost, so tell me again what reason do I have to stay with Frontier besides my paycheck??? Give us a fair contract and stop taking things away!!! You want employee retention, then give us reasons to stay!! There are more college educated Union members than you may think. I have a Bachelors degree and have taken the LSAT(Bobby C you should know what that is)!! I used to enjoy working for Citizens, but since we have become Frontier that joy has diminished. All we want is a FAIR CONTRACT.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well it looks like Maggie has started her "exit strategy" into motion, possibly moving into the political arena next?? So who is gonna be left "holding the bag"? Is it you Bobby C? or You Cecilia? Senior management needs to be concentrating on increasing revenues to pay for the $8 billion plus debt that spinco had to secure for the Verizon territories acquisition to take place!! I don't think that it is wise for the company negotiating team to be acting petty and childish under these circumstances!! Give us a fair contract!! We as a UNION will STAND UNITED!! We know that this is a CRITICAL TIME for the company!!! WALL STREET is WATCHING!!!

  18. as i sit here and think about all the things i could say and would say i get exhausted. I do have to agree that i USED to love working for frontier. NOW i HATE just getting up in the morning to go to work. Ive looked around for other jobs but in this area without a college degree i would never find something that pays this well. The furlough really set me back financially as it did all of you. I am constantly stressed about money and my bills and whether or not i will have a job tomorrow. They lied to us. They use us and they treat us like an evil step child. Im not asking for the world. just want a raise and a chance to make up some of the money we lost during furlough. I could beg and kick and scream and dance but what good does it do? Id really "like" that appreciation bonus those WV employees got for doing nothing but coming into a company where all there CURRENT employees have been SACRIFICING for YEARS!!!They say we abuse sick time? Well stop stressing us out and we wouldn't use it so much. Ugh. I could go on and on and on. All i can say is LETS GO 363

I'm not afraid to take a stand
    Everybody come take my hand

    Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you're not alone
Holla if you feel that you've been down the same road

And I just can't keep living this way
So starting today, I'm breaking out of this cage
I'm standing up, Imma face my demons
I'm manning up, Imma hold my ground
I've had enough, now I'm so fed up
Time to put my life back together right now

  20. We want to get along and work with the company. We just want to be treated as adults and compensated fairly. Bobby C "take the lead" and make amends with us. We are hard workers who care but feel like we got the shaft last time and have been getting it lately. Make up to us and let's all work for the good of all. The company can afford to treat us right and pay us right. We can sell but come on we need help too.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I know...how about we take all the money being WASTED on the RV trip to sell the friendly "Frontier" and give it to the Union members to start repaying for all that has been lost? Let's see...7 over payed not just upper but HIGHER management times 6 days on the road, meals, lodging (because let's face it I'm sure they're not spending every night in a fancy "camper" and putting chicken on the BBQ...that should total a pretty penny. Now, what will be the result of all this? 15-20 Take the Leads?
    Now that's...Priceless.

  24. Goods points made I agree that our insurance needs to be left alone not only are the insurance companies raising rates so does frontier. Seems like every time you turn around their back in your pocket. Every time we get a raise in our contract I take home less. Anyone in the new properties better hold on frontier is here and gonna raise your medical right on up. Any promises cecila (aka Miss Pepsi) made are false or better yet if thier lips move they are telling a lie. I for one am sick of hearing about needs of the buisness. Managment doesnt seem to understand we have just as big a stake in this company as any one else. We just dont get over paid like maggie and the boys at the top. We do all the work and are expected to always do more. I wonder how many leads has maggie put into the system latley.

  25. Young Sherburne AssignerOctober 10, 2010 at 9:07 AM

I'm new to being in a Union. It's been a learning experience so far. The one thing I've noticed is how the Managers and Supervisors in this building disrespect the Union, especially the NY and SE group Supervisors and the Assignment Department Manager. There is a Guy in My Department Who has been a Godsend to the Members- through His efforts, We are well informed and well represented. He, according to the "Grapevine" Here, has taken a lot of Heat and been unfairly "Targeted" by the NY and SE Supervisors in Assignment. From what I heard, He was called into a Conference Room back in the spring for walking off Company Property on His Break Give Me a Break!! I hope the Union has helped Him out. It seems that the Sherburne Management is more concerned about Harassing Active Union Officers than Empowering Us Assigners to do our Best and "pat Us on the back" when We do well. Assignment Manager/Mandy, are You listening?? How can These Managers expect Us to promote this Company enthusiastically and get sales 'leads" when They disrespect Us this much. My Dad used to Work in this Sherburne Center and, when I was growing Up, was told about all of this nonsense that goes on Here. To be honest, I used to think "Dad, You're exaggerating". Now that I work Here, I not only see that My dad was NOT exaggerating, but just maybe He was minimizing. Lucky for Me, I'm still Young and am not tied to this Area, or to this Company for that matter. Anyways- Keep fighting 363 Bargaining Committee. I'm going to share These Sentiments with Everyone I know in the Town I Live in- which is an area where There's HEAVY TIME WARNER COMPETITION!!

  27. First, Let Me say that Jim Currie's efforts to bring more jobs to Sherburne are very appreciated and long overdue. There was a time a few Years ago that We (Sherburne PSC) were on Our way to extinction! It's unfortunate that Jim has such a full "plate" that He doesn't have the time to keep His finger on His Management subordinates throughout the building. Sherburne Management (BELOW Jim Currie) is a big problem to Union Members. There is so much disrespect, contempt, and Harassment going on that We could justify having a full time Union Officer in that building, doing nothing but filing Grievances!! Despite Jim's efforts, Sherburne could still be much better. I know Jim tells us, every chance He gets, that "We have it pretty good Here, It's not so great out There". Well, He may be partly right about latter statement in quotes, but not the first Statement. One of the posts above mentions there being a lot of College-Educated Union Members. Count Me among those. I have SIX Years of College under My belt and I'm seriously thinking about expanding that total, or possibly going into Business for Myself. For those of You wondering 'What are You doing HERE with that level of Education. Well, I made a choice to stay near My Family and thought that going to work Here would provide a decent standard of living, while being able to be near My Family. Well- never in My wildest Nightmares did I think I'd be dealing with Disrespect, Harassment and contempt from the Managers and Supervisors Here. This nonsense goes on in EVERY DEPARTMENT in Sherburne. Wake up and smell the Management STENCH Jim!! We have Professional Liars in Sherburne Management!! While I don't regret My decision to Sacrifice My Career Path for Family, I DO REGRET coming to work for this Company. If I had to do over again, I'd have stayed with My former Employer. Anyways, GO TEAM 363. We're Prepared to do whatever is Necessary to get the FAIR CONTRACT That We all deserve. EVERY BATLE PLAN is being considered and is "on the table".

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think there is a fair solution to this years bargaining. We are owed a decent contract. We took a screwing last time and they played us.

Now it is their turn to make that up to us. We don't expect to hit lotto by any means but we should get a fair and legitimate contract.

Management should see that where we are at is a HUGE AND DANGEROUS CROSSROAD.

We need to erase what happened last time and get a chance at a fresh start.

YOU NEED TO "TAKE THE LEAD" BOBBY. IT IS YOU WHO CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN OR NOT.

The best investment this company can make right NOW is in its own people.

Having a productive workforce that doesn't feel their own company f'd them is such a good business plan they should bottle it.

It is the smartest move and right in front of your face.

Its great to come up with all of the little gimmicks and programs to roll out to the consumers to increase business.....

BUT It's stupid to screw those who carry your message to those consumers....isn't it??

Bobby C - come to the table and make good on this situation. Playing a game to squeeze pennies from my home piggy bank THIS TIME is a bad mistake.

If you or any of the others in the upper tier of the company have not realized - you have a mountain lion cornered and there is no way out but through you guys.

ITS TIME TO FIX THIS BOBBY.

  29. 1. Is it true that the center in Duhland is owned by Maggie's family?

    2. We are are told that calls are not routed. If that is true, why do we wait between calls and they do not in the centers.

    3. Has the union ever been given a confirmed list of where promotion calls are routed? (I mean not routed)

    4. What does all of the local management that doesn't support the union members think will happen to their jobs if ours are eliminated?

    5. Was the information about the money we lost during furlough being given to WV employees given out by the company or through the grapevine?

ok... I guess that is enough questions for now. I am trying to determine if this is all just paranoia on our part or if the company really cares so little about one of the states that set them up w/ such a stable base for so many years. Atleast when Jane Valik ran the call center she fought for everyones jobs and not just her own.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Unit 43 Officer,

I hope you didnt just put the whammy on Jim Currie. This happened in the Johnstown area with a man that worked great for the company and also worked very good with the union. Jim Passero was able to work in the best interest for both sides.

That was the main reason why he was stepped over on the Business Side, He was very instrumental on working with the center and their reps, he cared too much.

As soon as Cecilia found out bam he was almost let go. I hope they dont do that to Jim Currie. Jim Currie knows he has the unions support, why because he delivers and brings jobs to his center. The trust that is there is unbelievable, the motto is go get the work Jim, we will work out the details once you have it.

Trust needs to be earned, the only two that has earned the trust is Jim Passero and Jim Currie.

We thank the both of you, now for the rest start earning it or we all will be looking from the outside in.

All this wise rep can say to the company is read these messages and you can see you have a loyal hard working group of employees that just need to be respected and shown that they are part of the company.

Start by giving them a fair contract and make up for the money they lost in the furlough escapade,

Kudos to "Unit# 43 Officer" above!! Jim C deserves a lot of credit for Tooting Sherburne's Horn. It's unfortunate that lower Sherburne Management can't act like Real Professionals and treat Sherburne workers like adults. As for the concerns posted by "A Wise Rep" above, fearing What Cecilia could do- I do know that Frontier's COO regularly refers to Sherburne as "Our Center of Excellence". The last thing Corporate would want to do is upset Something that is so clearly Working. Like Any large Organization, there are Problems- but none that cannot be worked out with Changes in the Supervisory Ranks in Certain Departments. If I read the "Unit 43 Officer" Post correctly, I think He/She was trying to give Jim a lot of credit, while saying that Union Members deserve much better treatment from Their Management Personnel. I know that, Here in Dispatch, there are Un-Professional acting Supervisors. We, like Assignment, also deserve to be treated with more respect. Let's all stay United and support 363 Negotiating Team!!

  34. Dear, dear Sherburne Dispatcher don't EVER get a false sense of security in your "Center of Excellence" you might want to flip back a couple of chapters and remember what happened to a well oiled machine working in Johnstown. I am hoping to see what happens next.

Maybe we should have a rally outside Maggies house.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That is a pretty good idea about a rally.

What about we have three locations for a rally and lets all vote on whos house we should select?

    Choices:

    1. Maggies

    2. Cecilias

    3. Catherines

    4. Bobby C's

    ReplyDelete
  37. The customers are watching, so it only makes sense that the stock holders should know what's going on to. We're not being at all unreasonable or uncooperative with the company. Hell, at this point- we can't even get every dept. at the table to discuss their section of the contract as the company again has payment issues. Obviously Frontier isn't broke or they wouldn't have taken our Furlough money & handed it over to the new Verizon employees.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hopefully the shareholders are reading this blog and are gaining some much needed information about who is running this company and how it's being managed.

Perhaps there are a few stockholders out there with consciences that will re-think buying the stock when they know management treats the workers like garbage. Who knows? Maybe they will re-think their votes next time around and eliminate the people at the top that are keeping this company from being the success it could be.

Treat the workers fairly and they will push this company and it's stock way beyond what it has ever been before.

But we still won't drink the Kool Aid.

  39. aaaaaaalllllllll we are saaaaaaaaaaaaying....
    is give peace a chance.

We took a terrible beating last negotiations when they lied to us, told us that they were in trouble financially and then took over 1 MILLION DOLLARS out of our paychecks through a furlough that they didnt even need......

...AND THEN HANDED OUR 1 MILLON DOLLARS TO EMPLOYEES IN ANOTHER STATE FOR BEING LOYAL......

man that burns my ass. If that was a close friend who lied and took money from my family for a reason that was not true....

I would never speak to that friend again.

That was from people in the company who we ALL HELD in a position of trust - we believed them.

Now here we are in negotiations again - and here they come - the millionaires - ready to squash us little people again...

Well this time the liliputions are ready.

To the shareholders - want to increase profits?

Don't allow these millionaires to screw the people who persuade the customers to stay with this company. Don't screw your messengers again.

  42. Good Morning Everyone !!

Good Luck to our team at the table this week.

  43. All that the investors know about Frontier is what the CEO says about the company and what the balance sheet shows. Investors don't have any concern other than for how much money ends up in their pockets. They don't care how Frontier workers are treated-only the money they make from the stock and dividend. Unfortunate but true- people playing in the stock market are not your average working class people anymore.

We need to unite and stay united through this negotiation. Upper management has spit in our faces and they will do it again so they can continue to try to please the investors.

We want a fair contract but we're asking for it from a management team that doesn't know the meaning of the word fair.

So we need to teach them what fair is!

Hello A-team 227, You're words of wisdom are heeded. Myself, personally, I work in this center one day at a time. I, and many folks in this center, know that whether We have jobs here is almost completely out of Our control. We do Our best every Day, hope for the best and PLAN FOR THE WORST. The Point I was making was that Our center does a pretty good job for this Company. This certainly does not mean that Middletown, Gloversville Directory, WAH, and all of Our Techs, NOC, etc do not also perform Excellence on a Daily basis. It has been proven over and over again that Union Labor as a Whole performs work of a HIGHER QUALITY than Non-Union Labor. Our Auto Workers have, Unfortunately, antiquated Production Processes that hold Them Back, compared to the Import Companies from Asia and Korea. Anyways, Thanks for Your post A-team 227. Let's keep using this blog to express Our thoughts and Feelings about how We've been mistreated by Frontier's upper Management and Tell Them IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that We will NOT accept the erosion of Our STANDARD OF LIVING. Remember Bobby C and Your Puppeteer, There is a Power much greater than Maggie that can be used against You. If You don't work with Us and LISTEN TO US, We can get the Public involved by word of Mouth. Don't think for ONE MINUTE that the Public won't support Union Labor. Take a look at the Political-Generated Polling taking place this Fall. Americans have had ENOUGH!!! The 2003 Tax Cuts that benefited "Big Business" are VERY UNPOPULAR. The Public is VERY ANTI-BIG BUSINESS. The Public Folks that I've already talked to in Sidney NY actually support Us, Union Labor and are DISGUSTED over the "Furlough fiasco". BOTTOM LINE, Work with Us and, together, We can move this Company Towards the TOP. Believe Me, We can do that Together. HOWEVER, Keep taking Food, Clothing and Shelter out of Our Family's Mouths, and We'll Fight You every inch of the Way, to WIN!! We're not Your Enemy, We're trying to be Your ALLY!!!!

It is kind of simple. We will know the direction of negotiations this week for sure. If they want to be fair, we are all for that and will be fair in return.

If they want to kick each other, I have size 11's that want to meet them half way.

  47. A tech with a Finance majorOctober 11, 2010 at 11:58 AM

Kate, although it is true that the shareholders may not care about how a company's workers are treated. They do care when it causes an additional risk to their investment. Poor labor relations or contract issues can directly impact revenue and public perception which may affect the share price and dividends. When the risk is increased shareholders will pay attention in accordance with their risk tolerance level. Due to the acquisition and increased debt it is critical that Frontier's operations run as smoothly as possible. Both the creditors and investors are watching closely. So our shareholders will be very concerned how the contract negotiation process proceeds. Their money is on the line just as much as our standard of living is.

Maybe the shareholders would like to know how Frontier is sending out marketing flyers and advertisements to customers and then routing those incoming calls to the least experienced reps in the company thereby guaranteeing that sales will take a downturn because these in-experienced reps either don't know how to explain our products or don't care if they mess up a customers account which brings in more irate customers who will never buy anything else from frontier and will also tell everyone they know about their bad experience. Of course we are told they "can't route calls"...we have been told that for years. Funny thing is when they train these new people they route calls to them in training based on what they have learned so far...hmm..funny they can route for training but not in the real world? How dumb do they think we are? And also...I wonder if those shareholders also know how high the turnover is in these areas where we spend all the money to train the people that lie to our customers and cause us to lose our customers on a daily basis? Seems to me they would rather see that money invested in keeping happy employees that maintain the customer base which brings in the revenue?

  50. tech- I hope you are right. From some of the investor comments, they don't seem to give a fig about the company-employee relationship but that is only a sampling of stockholders. The debt-equity ratio is a bit high- I'm surprised investors haven't been more hesitant to buy.

I hope,as more contracts come up for negotiation, the investors take a hard look at how this company is being run and the affect on the workers.

  51. I am noticing Hundreds of hits to the blog! I am sure that they are not just coming from the union memberships or management. Thank you Frontier for adding the Verizon properties consisting of Union membership who are used to fighting for their benefits and not giving in. Their support is a wonderful thing and the increased numbers are welcome!!! UNITED WE WILL STAND!! Bring us up to the level of the newly acquired VERIZON employees and treat us fairly. I am sure that those who have come from Verizon will not be willing to give up what they have fought for over the years!!! NO KOOL AIDE for US!!!

  57. Enough is Enough! we need to stand together and if the company is not being fair & a strike vote is needed, then that is what we NEED to do !!! No more pennies for raises, especially when The new WV employees from Verizon all got a 5000.00 bonus.. Also, I hear that the company is trying to mess with our senority & how we pick our vacations.. ABSOLUTELY NOT, that is defintiely a strike vote for me...

  58. The investors should be watching, how the Company and Union relations go directly affect the Companies performance. Happy employees that are treated fairly and are satisfied in their jobs consistantly outperform dissatisfied employees in all areas that affect the bottom line. We want and deserve a fair contract and some respect for what we do.

    Support our negotiating team.

  59. ~"Can't route calls."~

Management didn't actually say that, did they?! If so, wow....it's 2010 and this is a communications company.

    Therefore:
    a) If we couldn't route calls, our customers would have no intra or inter-lata.
    b) Nearly all things are technologically possible.
    c) It's an insult to the rep hearing that statement.

  60. I told the furlough story to my neighbor and she was floored that they did that. She could not believe that I was treated so badly. We have the upper hand now because of that mistake on their part. That is a public relations nightmare.

Come on Bring it on It will be fun this time.

  62. Just to clarify. I understood that the $5000.00 bonuses went to the legacy Frontier employees in WV to sort of "cushion" the difference in pay between them and the new Frontier, former Verizon employees. If that is wrong, I apologize.

    Either way, it's not right.

If it looks like a rat and it smells like a rat, it is most likely a RAT!!!!!

  63. I would say now that some shareholders are aware of this blog that alone should scare the company. Shareholders are global and news spreads fast. I am glad investors came across this site. On the other hand? anybody see the video they posted on the link tdy about maggie on cramer in regards to the dividend? Its safe so guess what the company can afford to give us what we want!!! No more "oh we r too poor for this crap" national tv baby! She admitted it!

  64. We ALL need 100% participation for voting the contract down & going to strike vote if needed if all classifications are not given fair contract. Aside from the furlough being complete b.s. - Just think back on how many times you heard "Based on the needs of the business". Noone knows more about "The Needs of the Business" then the employees. I'll tell you what the "Need of the Business is". Rebuild the moral you lost in NY- Rebuild the Respect from the employees! Instead of reading your "Values" - start practicing them. How about that for the "Need of the Business". If the company continues down the path of "Management need is the only Need", Craft's attitude, help, volunteering, promoting, selling, care is going to change to the " Need of the Craft".

  65. Yes, I am still sick of it! I read through all these blogs and it makes my blood boil to think what we have been put through!

I just read about the lyrics to the song "We Won't Get Fooled Again". Apparently Roger Daltry just about snarls the lyrics with bitterness. The song refers to people being liars and corruption in the world....Yep that sounds like the company we work for!!!!!!

Hey, We're Not Afraid Anymore- you have taken so much away from us, there is nothing left to take that we will allow anymore.

I wonder how management can live with their decisions and the way they reat us knowing how it affects the real people, the heart of this company. I know I can sleep easily at night with a clear consciene. I wonder if they can?

This blog is going global. People are watching. Customers know how we are treated. We are united like never before. I hope the company realizes how serious we are.

    NO MORE GAMES!

UNITED WE STAND LIKE NEVER BEFORE!

    Don't Drink the Kool-Aid!

  66. Just because Maggie says the dividend is safe that doesnt mean its true. Maybe not everyone gets it but people in authority lie all the time. Maggie will say what ever she needs to to keep stok holders buying stock and lining her own pockets. She like the rest of the ultra rich could give two shits about us. All she cares about is making frontier stock look good so she makes more money. If she wanted to make a real show of how good she is maybe she wouldn't take a bonus this year and give that to the people who make her all the money she puts in her pocket. Thats right we cant do that because that might make union people happy. We all know maggie has no use for u nions and wants them gone.

  67. This Union, this local is stronger right now and more united than I have ever seen it in the years I've been here, and I've been here awhile! Stand United and we will ALL win. This should not be us vs. them, in a fair contract we all win, craft and management alike. If management doesn't want to treat us fairly, we are ready for the long fight to get what we fairly deserve.

  68. Wow, the united Banter continues!! Nice Points made about Shareholder concerns about Company mistreatment of Employees causing Labor Contract talk issues. Also, the CEO talking Up Our Dividend Payouts- all of which may help Our Negotiation Team convince Bobby C's Puppeteers to Give Us Our Due!! Help Us Destroy Our Competitors!! How Degrading is it that Time Warner is HAMMERING US IN OUR OWN AREAS!! I also think It's AWESOME that Investors, along with OUR CUSTOMERS IN THE AREAS THAT WE SERVE (and volunteer Our Time for, in the Name of Providing good "PR" for the Company) have also found this BLOG. Let's hear it for the Power of the Internet!! That's one Positive things the Government has done for It's bosses- given Us the Internet!! As far as the Post above, saying It's possible the Company is trying to mess Our Seniority-- That's a FATAL Mistake, as Seniority is what Unions were originally built on. Seniority is One of the LAST BENEFITS of a Union that We have. We all remember TN Voting down the Furlough and BEING FORCED TO DO IT ANYWAYS. Fortunately, TN took that to Arbitration and WON!! My view as to why We lost Our Furlough/Contractor Arbitration Case: The Company used Our Compassion regarding "THREATENED" Job Cuts against Us- how Evil is That?? If We had voted the Furlough Down and was subsequently forced into It, We would have Won Our case. LESSON LEARNED- N E V E R Trust This Company's Word again!! They Lie like There's no Tomorrow. Again, If Frontier's Negotiation Team doesn't work with Us AND HELP US, I intend to "Take the Lead" in My Community (where I grew Up and the locals TRUST ME). The only thing, I won't be Trying to get sales leads. I'll be discussing How this Company treats It's Workforce, while giving Itself disgustingly high salary Raises. And, I'll tell the total Furlough Story. I'm sure the Local "Anti-Big Business" Democrats Here will love to support My Union Brothers and sisters. Bobby C- It's a simple choice. Work with Us and HELP US drive Time Warner OUT OF OUR AREA. Or, Keep taking Financial Security and well-being away from Our Families and We'll USE EVERY METHOD AVAILABLE TO US TO CREATE A PUBLIC BACKLASH AGAINST FRONTIER, which would only mean MORE BUSINESS FOR TIME WARNER!! The clock is ticking, make the CORRECT CHOICE!! Frontier's Senior "Leadership" FAT CATS' Gravy Train is also at stake!! Don't make the mistake of thinking We're Bluffing. We're NOT.

  69. In response to Wolverine...you said it with your comments about Maggie hating unions. I wonder what lies she sold to Obama to get appointed to her cabinet position? I wonder if he knows how awful she treats the union employees who helped to elect him? She isn't content with driving this company into the ground now she wants to ruin the country too! WALL STREET BEWARE....SHE IS SELLING YOU A BILL OF GOODS AND YOU WILL REGRET IT.

  71. Many are watching this board and management should know that they are not the only ones who may have read Sun Tzu. His teachings can be applied to our negotiations process. If Frontier continues to be deceitful and offers an unfair contract or uses unethical tactics then you can kiss your local engagement model good bye!!!! We will go public and in todays anti "corporate greed" and anti political atmosphere the public will support the Union workers!!! Be FAIR or be WARNED!!!

  72. I heard a little rumor today....the company is planning on having a conference call to discuss the "contingency plan".

They better have a good one because we sure do!

The smart move would be cut the corporate bullshit and bargain fairly for once.

I don't know if they are that smart anymore.

well i would like to see the companys contingency plan, managment has a hard time directing the people whom know how to do the job. what a joke, just a scare tactic... frontier better come with a fair contract. maggie can shove her union hating ways up her ass!! we've been here long before her, and we'll be here long after she gone. we shall not falter we will stand long and strong .

RGuys, Gals...this company is even gonna offer bundles FIOS! The Obama administration is funding all rural upgrades from dial-up computer connections to DSL....FTR may receive literally billions in Federal money.....Dividend payout ratio's will be at 42% of pretax cash flow...not bad mammy!

    AND WE GET SCREWED .....WHY??

  76. FROM FTR COMMENT PAGE:

After Cramer's infamous "Sell Sell Sell" FTR on a recent lightning round, he hosted the FTR CEO who was quite impressive with her knowledge of the company's earnings and forward looking potential. "The dividend is safe" she stated..

    BETTER TREAT US FAIR

    ReplyDelete
  77. FROM FTR COMMENTS:

Did I just see the CEO is going on Mad Money tonight?

I only caught a quick look as they went to commercial, and just saw Frontier and 6PM/11PM. I could swear the lady's name was Wilderotter, they said was coming on.

I might well be wrong, but I know Cramer has been bashing the ability of Frontier to pay the divy and if she is going on to explain that they can indeed make the payments, it could be a good thing.

Again, I might be off base, as I just caught a quick look.

    ReplyDelete
  78. FROM THE FTR COMMENTS:

That the dividend was safe, or that she was more comfortable now (post acquistion) with the 500 million in cost savings?

Personally, Maggie's comment about the cost savings eclipsed those about the dividend. She even indicated that the savings could be more. This is huge, and goes right to the bottom line.

Debt reduction and share buy backs should put us over $10/share by spring.

IT COULD BE MORE? DON'T LOOK OVER HERE FOR MORE. TO EVEN BOTHER TRYING TO TAKE FROM US IS DISGUSTING AND SINFUL.

LET'S GET TOGETHER AND FINISH THIS THING FAIR OR WE WILL BOTH BE VERY SORRY.

  79. A Wise, Experienced Sherburne AssignerOctober 12, 2010 at 9:26 PM

Let's discuss "Needs of the Business", as It relates to this Weird Management's Decisions. First of All, the Company ALWAYS Excludes The Craft Employees from the "Business". So, what's left?? I'll tell You what's left. PAPERWORK!! A Charter and a bunch of Statements, Financial Records. What "needs" could These Intangible Articles require?? Does the Business have Children to raise and arrange Daycare For??? Does the Business require periodic Health-Care/Dental/Vision/Hearing check-ups?? Exactly WHY are the EMPLOYEE'S NEEDS ALWAYS IGNORED?? This may come as a shock to Upper, Middle, and Lower Management, but if not for the CRAFT EMPLOYEES, there'd be NO BUSINESS. As an Assigner with extensive experience and tenure, It'd be smart "Business Acumen" to be more flexible in Your Treatment of and respect for Your TOP QUALITY CRAFT EMPLOYEES!! For the Frontier Investors and Customers reading this BLOG, the One thing You need to know about Frontier in making an Investment, or Product/Service Purchase decision is that any business is only as strong as the Happy, Productive Workforce. Know that Frontier's Craft Employees are Experienced and VERY PRODUCTIVE. However, We're not Happy. Frontier's Management either has not figured out how to cultivate a Happy and supportive work environment, or is NOT CAPABLE of providing One. Either way, Maybe a New Board of Directors (along with a New Chairperson) is in order to protect Your Investment. As for Our Customers, We wish to Provide You with EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Our Products/Services could be improved- with proper Capital Expenditures. However, We need Your help. We need Frontier to Bargain with Our 363 team IN GOOD FAITH AND HONESTLY. Top Notch Employees cannot flourish in an environment with NO TRUST. And, Please spread this Blog address around. These Craft Employees are FED UP WITH THE LIES AND SPIN from This Company.
