  1. Are we going to get raises again that soon disappear when we read the damages incurred by the insurance co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles etc.?

    1. Good question... Based on numbers provided at recent Unit 43 meetings, taken from actual co-pay information of other IBEW locals participating in the IBEW health insurance plans, I can say that for Me, personally, this option would be My choice based on My circumstances. While I cannot quote specific numbers, I can say that, in My opinion, IBEW health insurance is a much better option than MVP and ANY of the Company plans.

  2. We really need to stand together for this negotiation and only vote yes if the goods offer will benefit all and not just a specific group. A happy medium needs to happen. Frontier management can work hard to intimidate but that does not work with me or any of us. We have to stand United. All I can do is pray for a good outcome but I have yet to see that for Middletown Collections in all the years I have been here.

Brothers and Sisters we can not settle, we need to stand strong and fight for what we deserve. No more settling for less due to their intimidation.

  5. Many of us low paid assigners are very mad at this center's management for disrespectful treatment and plan on voting no unless we are all raised to tier 1 pay. We will use facebook and twitter to get our message out too.

    2. good luck with the trolling... All you will do is provide further incentive for us to obtain what is deserved.. The assignors at this location are what keep this company afloat, without us you don't even have your job... so you laugh all you need to... but without adequate cooperation and treatment from the company, your job is more expendable than ours is, you will be the first to go.. so tee hee yourself to the unemployment line bub.

    3. "Sherburne Observer" -- you make the above post more obvious. Your post itself is "loud" and disrespectful. Imagine how bad it is inside the office.

How many times do we need to speak up before ANYTHING gets done? We have supervisors that dont know the first thing about the job (hired off the street with no knowledge of what we actually do). We need a note for anything and everything when we cannot work OT. This place TRIES to make us feel terrible for having lives outside of Frontier and TRIES to bully us into working OT when we cant. If youre a new employee you are almost always made to feel scared and bullied to feed into their insane rules.

    4. This is the perfect example of our points. Assignment is treated the worst in this center. And like the other comment, would there be management jobs if our jobs went away?! Good luck with the online bulling. We are Union. You are not.

sherburne assignment management needs to learn to perform the duties of management, so us team leads can focus on the duties of our jobs, rather than constantly needing to "save" their butts from mistakes, over and over again!

Well I say. If they didn't think you will stick together we will need to show them. hell ya lets show our solidarity. We can get what we want just stick together and support one another and we will get what we deserve a fair contract

  9. You don't have to take it anymore. Stand together and fight for what's right and you will get it.

  10. I think it is sad that assignment believes that their job is more secure than anyone elses. Without the order takers there would be no assignment--we all have a role-and without each other our roles would not matter.

    1. I dont think anyone is saying Assignment believes their jobs are more secure than anyone elses. I think what is trying to be pointed out is that Assignment management needs more than a slap on the wrist for their actions and how they treat employees. People are bidding out of assignment for any job that comes available. Not because of the job itself but because of the treatment.

    2. no, what is being said is that without us scrubs doing the work, these managers aren't going to have a job either, the scrubs jobs are more important than management, management is more expendable, it has happen before, it will happen again. They are the first to go, the rest of our jobs are much more important, especially when it is abundantly clear that management is not even aware as to the rest of the job functions, they are glorified babysitters.. Aside from hall monitoring there really is no purpose for management, we don't go to them for anything, we seek each other out, and get the job done better than anywhere else in the country/company... we are all together, but our jobs are much more important than the non union jobs.. just watch to see where the fat is cut first and it's obvious.

      Delete
    3. it was a generalization, not that assignment's job is more important than all other jobs, but that it is certainly more important than management jobs.. They are some of the first to go, and they don't even understand the jobs being done in the center.. so those jobs are certainly more secure, than someone who just walks around or sits on facebook in their office all day not knowing what actually is done work related. it was a pointed response to management, not other positions in the center.

      Delete
    4. it was more of a comparison to management positions that require no knowledge.. but that being said, assignment has been used and abused through two conversions, with this center taking on the majority of the load... so they may be a little more sensitive about the issues, as they are taking the brunt of the maltreatment.

    5. To: AnonymousSeptember 13, 2016 at 8:15 AM.... I wish this was like Facebook and had a "LIKE" button because I'd be clicking it!!! You are so very correct in saying that our management doesn't know our job functions, they're clueless as to what some of our jobs actually entail! What sickens me most is when I have to tell my own direct supervisor how to do 'their job'! SMH!!!

      Delete
  11. None of you get it. NO ONES JOB IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYONE ELSES. We are all important. The point in all of this is to stick together and fight the company for what we want, not to pick each other apart and throw stones. BAND TOGETHER and fight back. Lets take what we all deserve!!!! STAY UNITED!!!!!!!

  12. Brothers and Sisters,
For a short handful of years, I've been part of a Union that has the right heart, but can't seem to stay banded together to fight for the treatment and fairness deserved by all. Whether it be the way we let (SOME, NOT ALL) Management treat (and by treat I mean bully) us day to day, or what we accept from the company (as far as the unfairness in pay and benefits), the lot of us need to come to a middleground and build off of eachother. Come together before just voting yes to any contract they throw our way, vote for the good of the majority, not just because we get more money one way or the other. Think about the benefits as well if offered through IBEW- that could alone increase our own individual revenue. If the facility assigners are getting lumped together at a flat max of $23.00 across the board, but our health benefits are skyrocketing because MVP is outrageous- don't sign! We DO have that option! Band together, talk to your brothers and sisters, get your young coworkers involved in the Union as they are the future and if anyone should be worried about it, it's them! #NotAnAssigner

    1. I so agree with you!!!! I've been a Local 363 member for 26 years and for you to say you been a part of the union for a short handful of years you have so hit the nail on the head! Huge kudos to you!! The problem with our members is that they are mostly young and think only about how a potential contact only effects them and not all in the membership. True that our Union has the right heart, they will fight for us in every way shape and form possible however they are only as strong as their members allow them to be and without solidarity and unity they come across weak. In the 26 years I've been in this union I've watched the company take and take and take! NO MORE, they can't keep taking without giving something! As Brothers & Sisters we need to look out for each other and what's fair for us as a whole!

  13. The company will be more willing to actually bargain if they see we are sticking together. We need to continually show them a sign of our solidarity, even a small gesture will do.

  15. No one job is more important than another. We all have an important job to do. A car can't run without all it's parts, no matter how small that part may be. We are a team, it's time to start pulling together. Divided we fall.... UNITED WE STAND!!!

    1. Yes, Carla, You are correct. Even Management has an important role to play. However, in Sherburne assignment, They ARE the problem. Floor supervisors just follow the protocol of the 2nd level "managers", both of Whom should be fired.

  17. Ok Brothers and Sisters let's all stick together. This is how we get what we need, want and deserve. Let's not banter back and forth with each other. Let's stick together and work as a union as if we where one. Sticking together and helping each other is how get are going to get ahead.

  18. The most important goal is to get rid of the Tiers in Collections and Assignment. Remember equal pay for equal work. It is not right to work next to someone who has the same job and gets substantially less money. Forget about whose job stays or goes, whose job is more "important". Ever one of us is important and we need to remember that. There would be no Frontier without us!

    1. This is important but we should not get so caught up in just this. Dont forget about other factors. Why ask for more money if our health care is going to jump sky high again? That is another cost in your living expense.

      Delete
    2. This is a huge issue! I personally am doing the same and sometimes more work than people who make a lot more money than I do and it's not fair. There are complex assigners doing basic orders and Tier III's doing "specialized" functions. This isn't fair and we shouldn't be doing the same work for different pay

  19. Does the company have a "SIMPL" plan for the assignment department. Did anyone else recognize this "strategy"?

  20. We all need to stick together and have each others backs. We are all one unit and we cannot allow disrespectful trolls like the "Sherburne Observer" get to us. If this person is really in management they just showed their true colors and they do not have one single ounce of integrity and severely immature. Stand together Brothers and Sisters

  21. Looks to me like your sherburne observer is a manager or a wannabe. Part of the problem, not the solution. We need to flush them out . I'm ready to bite.

  22. The company is stalling, whining, crying poverty. Also making a fuss over non bargaining issues. I suppose this is supposed to distract us from our goals. Bullshit! We will stand in an impenetrable line, hopefully with my feet on the 'observer's' neck. This is for future, for family and for dignity. Omaha!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I understand everyone has their key issues. We as a union body need to come together. Stop the bickering, stop turning each other into the other side, and become united we willl get what we want.

    Omaha.

  24. they send quarterly updates and brag all the time about how great a product we have and how well things are going... You can't scream poverty when you are sending out rosy news letters saying the contrary.

  25. Note to Sherburne Observer - you are a special kind of idiot. You are unhappy w/ the Assigners in Sherburne? Who hired them? YOU! ADUH! This really says more about your intelligence than it does any union member's. Sherburne has saved this company numerous times by pulling back work that other centers took, and couldn't handle, from IT making updates to the system that knock down 10 other things unintentionally (I'm sure IT has the same Kinkos-copied college degrees management has). Sherburne continues to save this company even from ITSELF. Your heckling and degradation of the people you and your simpleton colleagues found acceptable to hire - yet now somehow aren't up to your expectations - speaks volumes about the extremely disappointing mentality of the management in this center. I would be willing to bet you have absolutely NOTHING to do with any negotiations, as well. Move along, you're making management look (if possible) worse than it already does.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Management in Sherburne center all needs to go. Its sad when they are more concerned about when you are breaking and lunching then the lack of processes for us to complete our jobs!! stop babysitting/bulling and start actually doing your job.
