October 11 UPDATE

Brothers & Sisters,

Today we met with the company and discussed four items.

1. A & L Policy. They feel its fair, We told them our members want A Sick day is a Sick Day

2. Day after Thanksgiving They need more than 30% of the members working. Example in

Collections Last year 30% of 100 worked. This year 30% of 150 will work.

3. Dress Code Still An Open Item.

4. Cell Phone Policy Open

Members its Time for OMAHA !!!!!!!

Time to Show the company We will stand together as Verizon did.

WE ARE ONE !!!!

The Company believes the items listed above are more items from the bargaining team and not truly the feelings of the membership.

Let Your Voice Be HEARD, Not be an Echo

UNITED WE STAND !!!

What's Next ???? E DAY !!!

  1. They can ask for all the people they want working on the Day after Thanksgiving, but regardless it needs to be a PAID HOLIDAY!!

  2. How much is enough? How much have we as a union given up over the last 15 years. 401k match, day after thanksgiving, furlough, retiree medical, lump sums, and the list continues.

Then the company goes out and buys garbage properties rather than working on their infrastructure.

Cutting the outside workforce, mandatory OT in assignment, expecting everyone to do more work with less help, training, etc.

When is enough, enough. Come together, stand together. Become one. Now is our time.

    1. Well said, SuperTech. This Company expects to be able to "automate" a Database System (DPI) that was created in the late 1970's?? Really?? One of My Aunts was a SVP and part owner of the largest contracting Company for the U.S. Navy, and I was telling Her about the CT Conversion, where Verizon assigners worked with a "state of the art' assigning system, and We were training Them on Our AS-400 based system. She was horrified, just in shock that a "growing" Telco (Frontier??) would go "back into the stone ages" Comedy Gold!!

  3. We want NO occurances for paid sick time. How is it fair to give us something and then punish us for using it????????
We want the day after Thanksgiving back as a Holiday!!!! We all work hard for this company and we should be able to spend quality time with our families on occasion!!!! As I recall, we gave up Veterans Day for the day after Thankingiving. What a slap in the face to our veterans!!! To all Veterans.
We work long hours for this company. Especially the assignors!! We want to come to work and be treated with respect. I cannot believe some things of the things that I hear and see some of the management team doing and saying. I say "Lead by example"

Let's focus on the important issues. Let's focus on the work at hand and on our customers.

Let's stand strong, together. We deserve a Great contract this time and we will not settle for less.

    OMAHA!!!!!!!!

  5. Occurrences should be only be given after all your sick time is used. Nobody should ever be afraid to call in because they are sick. Being late shouldn't count the same as being out for the day either. This A&L policy is really stupid! The fact that the company is ok with this just proves that they don't care about us!

  6. Is the word "Strike" too soon?

  7. Well said, Cindy G, I agree with all of Your points. What I see as the problem in the newer managers and/or supervisors Today is that They are taught theory by Someone Who has never worked a day in the business world. There is not a college degree that provides the perspective and ability to motivate and lead people without resorting to childish, military style tactics, such as intimidation, threats, and ignorant logic. There is an extreme lack of a true leader in the management ranks of the Sherburne Center. MEMO TO FRONTIER BARGAINING TEAM: We DEMAND a fair contract, no A&L occurrences until all paid time is exhausted, NO OCCURRENCES for tardiness, and a return of the day after Thanksgiving to a FIXED PAID HOLIDAY!! OMAHA!
